Getting To Know Me At The Harvest of Friends Blog Party

Lynette at Dancing Barefoot on Weathered Ground is hosting a Harvest of Friends Blog Party. It's a great way for bloggers to get to know each other and possibly win prizes. Feel free to join the party.

20 Weird Questions That Will Give A Little Insight Into Who I Am

1. What is your favorite thing to snack on while you're blogging?
I don't snack much while blogging. Guess I'm too busy doing other things. However, I always have a Pepsi or Mt. Dew by my side.

2. What is one thing you wouldn't want to live without?
I wouldn't want to live without my family. I know that answer is so cliche, but I have a close connection to my family, both immediate and extended.

3. Beach, Mountains or Farm? Where would you live if you had a choice?
Although I've never been to one, I'd say the beach.

4. What's your least favorite chore/household duty?
I absolutely loathe mopping. I'll talk one of the kids into doing it. Give me any other chore and I'm all right, but mopping is atrocious.

5. Who do people say you remind them of?
It's not because of the looks, but people say I remind them of Helen Keller. I don't have the best hearing and I can completely overlook something that is right in front of me.

6. Prefer parties and socializing or staying at home with the fam?
Most of the time, I'm a homebody. I enjoy being with my family. However, there are times when the wild side comes out and I want to go out and party.

7. What's your all time favorite movie?
One of my favorites is The Shawshank Redemption. Another favorite is War of the Worlds (the newer one with Dakota Fanning and Tom Cruise in it).

8. Do you sleep in your make up or remove it like a good girl every night?
As a teen, I slept in my makeup and suffered the consequences. It's true that you break out if you don't remove makeup. So I've learned my lesson and now clean my face every night.

9. Do you have a hidden talent or a deep desire to learn something that you've never had a chance to learn? What is it?
I can say the alphabet backwards with great speed. In fact, I can say a lot of words backwards with ease. Not that it will ever come in handy to have that skill.

10. What's one strange thing you're really good at?
I'm just strange...period.

11. What first attracted you to your spouse?
Nothing attracted me at first. It took the second time of seeing him, sober and after a shower, to ignite an attraction. It was definitely his eyes.

12. What is something you love to smell? I love the smell of bacon. Any bacon candles on the market?

13. Tell something about you that you know irritates people.
When you get me started on something that makes me mad, it's hard for me to simmer down.

14. When you have extra money (HA!) what's the first thing you think to do with it?
I usually shop the stores for clothes or beauty products that are on sale.

15. Are you a silent laugher or a loud laugher? What makes you laugh the hardest?
I am a loud laugher and I love to laugh. Crude humor usually makes me laugh the most.

16. Where is your favorite place to shop?
I don't have a favorite place. I go where the bargains are at the time.

17. What's one thing you'd do more often if you had more time?
I'd get my pictures organized and scrapbook more. Scrapbooking is such a relaxation therapy for me, but it seems I don't have near the time for it as I used to.

18. Are you a big spender or frugal?
I'm so frugal. Rarely do I pay full price for anything. I get a natural high out of getting the best deal out of something.

19. Who is your favorite character of all time (from a movie or book)? (Can't be real)
Mark Twain has always fascinated me.

20. Would you want to be famous?
I'd like to say yes because the money and perks would be great. But in reality, I don't think I could handle the downside of it.

I love your answer about your spouse. My husband and I dated for three months before we liked each other. Now we have been married for 8 1/2 years. I think that becoming friends first helped us!
