Outdoor Adventures Review - Hammock Bliss

When I first came up with the idea for the "Outdoor Adventures" blog event, my camper was surrounded by lots of trees. I couldn't wait to get my hammock from Hammock Bliss and I knew right where I was going to hang it.

Things changed between that time and the time I received my hammock. We moved our camper to an area where there were no trees in sight. Although I was bumming out about it, I knew that one of my campground buddies would be thrilled to have a hammock by their area. There was only one stipulation though...whoever put the hammock up at their place had to agree that I could still come use it. My friend, Renee, was thrilled to hang the hammock up at her place and I've since been there a few times to enjoy it myself.

Hammock Bliss , a company that has been in business for over twenty years, offers different types of portable hammocks that allow you to experience relaxation when camping, traveling, hunting, or backpacking. All of their hammocks are constructed of high strength nylon parachute material that is soft, breathable, and mildew resistant. Included with the hammocks are climbing ropes on each side to hang them.

Renee and I both hung the hammock from two trees in her camper area. The hammock itself came in a travel pouch with instructions. The first go round didn't go so well for us because we didn't hang the hammock up high enough between the trees.

The hammock came with its own suspension system to hang it. Unfortunately, the trees were spaced too far apart and we had to tie extra ropes to the trees and then to the hammock to give us the needed extra length. Hammock Bliss does sell tree straps that allow you to adjust your hammock to the ideal length between trees and ideal height adjustments.

Other than those couple mishaps, set-up was easy to do and took up little time. I'm not exactly in the small weight range, so I was a little weary of how well the hammock would hold me. I had no reason to fear because it supported my weight well and the hammock conformed to my body as I lay in it. The feeling of weightlessness and the slight sway is relaxing. Renee has taken a strong liking to the hammock and enjoys lounging in it often. And when I'm down her way, I'll slip off my shoes and sit for a spell in the hammock to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.

You look so beautiful :). How much fun is that! The boys would love this, but I'm sure they would turn it into some type of slingshot .... hehe. I'd have to put it somewhere where I could hide :)
