All I Want For Christmas is Some New Top Teeth

I've given birth three times and have had six surgeries. None of them compare to the anxiety and stress I feel when I go to the dentist. I've decided to face my fear and started going to the dentist to get my bottom teeth fixed and dentures to replace my top teeth. I went three weeks ago for a cleaning and made it through, but not before having a minor nervous breakdown. I'm positive I shocked the hygienist a little when I started bawling like a baby.

I made my next appointment to get fillings on my bottom teeth, but not without the understanding that nitrous would be a necessity. I got off work this morning, stayed up dog tired, and went to the dentist to get that done. Anxiety was definitely knocking at my door, but I kept it at a reasonable level. I sit down in the waiting room for a few minutes and finally hear my name being called. Standing up, ready to go, the receptionist politely tells me that my appointment isn't until TOMORROW!

If it wasnt' for the fact that all I want for Christmas is some new front teeth, I'd give up in defeat. But I will continue to face my biggest fear until I come out with some pearly whites, even if they will be fake.

I am the same way! I hate going to the dentist. I just went in last week and I have an infection in an old root canal so I have to go to a specialist to have it retreated. I suggest taking an mp3 player to drown out the sound!
