GiftTree - Review & Giveaway

Valentine's Day will be here before you know it. Although I think we should show our appreciation and gratitude to those we love everyday, it's always special to give and receive something on the holiday that is set aside for just that.

This Sweetheart Rose Bouquet is just one of the many items offered at GiftTree that would make a special gift for the one you love. GiftTree is a premier gift basket company that caters to all occasions. The company started in 1997 with the goal of becoming America's favorite destination for gourmet gift baskets and specialty wine gift baskets. However, gift baskets aren't the only thing they offer. Flowers, balloon bouquets, and personalized gifts are available for purchase as well.

I received the Chocolate Decadence with Free Valentine's Day Ribbon gift basket. As you can tell from the picture above, the basket is absolutely beautiful. It was wrapped in a ribbon personalized with my blog name. The extra touch made it seem more personal and special. I now have the ribbon dripped over one of my picture frames. The wicker-type basket itself is made well and can be used to place other items in once the treats are gone. There is a hinged lock to keep it closed and a handle to carry it.

Inside the basket were sweet treats to indulge in. These aren't your everyday chocolates either. Included were 25 Ghiradelli Chocolate Squares in addorted flavors, Lady Walton White Chocolate Amaretto Cookies, Chocolate Covered Fruit, White Chocolate Shortbread Cookies, and Godiva Dark Chocolate Covered Cherries.

My problem was keeping myself from diving right in and eating them all at once. Ghiradelli is one of my favorite brands of chocolate and having that many squares of it was a chocolate lover's dream. I played nice and shared with the family so they could indulge as well. Everything we tried was delicious.

I recommend GiftTree as a place to shop for Valentine's Day or any other occasion to show someone you care.

Fiber Gourmet - Review & Giveaway

I prefer not to go into detail about my digestive system but due to digestive problems, it is important that I incorporate a proper amount of fiber in my diet. Therefore I was happy to hear of a company that is dedicated to creating reduced-calorie, high-fiber products that taste good and are good for you.

Fiber Gourmet pasta and crackers have fewer calories than others, and taste the same as standard pasta and crackers. Their pasta has 40% fewer calories than standard pasta and are Kosher certified. All of their calorie and fiber numbers are backed up by actual laboratory analysis.

All of my kids have a hearty appetite and look forward to snacks, especially after school. Although I will let them indulge in junk food once in a while, I try to make sure they are eating healthy snacks for the most part. Fiber Gourmet's Lite Cheese Snacks and Lite Nacho Snacks are snacks that I feel good about serving to my kids. The pouches are just the right size to take with you so you can eat healthy no matter where you are.

Everyone in my house has tried the cheese and nacho flavors and find them to taste equally as good as competitor's brands. It's an unanimous vote that these snacks taste fresh and are delicious.

My husband made a side dish with the Light Penne pasta. He added ground sausage and a white cream sauce with the pasta. Everyone wanted seconds of this yummy dish. There are different flavors and kinds of pasta available for purchase.

Win It!
One person will win a mixed case of the Lite Nacho Snacks and Lite Cheese Snacks.

Wordful Wednesday - At The Bowling Alley

I mentioned in a previous post that I went bowling last Sunday. If you read that post, you know that I am nowhere near professional level when it comes to bowling. Despite this fact, I had a great time in a fun atmosphere.

My great-niece had a hard time holding the ball but she was bound and determined to bowl for herself. She'd roll the ball slooowlly down the lane and finally hit a few pins. She'd get excited and we'd all cheer for her. The foul line buzzer went nuts that night, as she kept stepping over the line.

My teenage daughter throws the ball like she's aiming to put a hole in the floor.

This is me and my hubby. He takes bowling seriously and I've learned not to make bets with him as to who will win because he always does.

Part of the fun of bowling is eating the greasy, fried food. Faythe likes to dip her fries in ketchup and ranch dressing together, then eat them.

Snakes Slither, And So Does This Scooter

I've moaned and groaned about the winter weather on various posts. I'm not a fan of ice and snow. My boys don't usually mind it, but they had to use their skills of patience. They were super excited to try the Pulse Slither Drift Scooter but the weather wasn't cooperative enough for them to go outside and ride.

We received the scooter a while back. The weather outside didn't stop us from opening the box to check it out. It required a little assembly but it was quick and my husband had no problem piecing it together. We have limited space in our home, but I let the kids get a feel for it by letting them stand on the scooter and maneuvering it around the kitchen.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, there was a break in the bad weather and they jumped at the opportunity to take the scooter outside and try it out. 1 scooter + 2 boys who are eager to try it = flipping a coin. First on was Logan who went straight for a mud puddle and laughed hysterically as he splashed through. He said he liked how the scooter was easy to push off with and how easy it was to steer. Adam was the daredevil and instantly went for trying tricks on it. It took some practice for him but, after a while, was able to drift around corners and slide around on it.

The Sliter drift scooter is the newest invention from Pulse. It is a 3-wheeled scooter that has two wheels on the front and a single rear wheel in the back that pivots. This allows you to drift in and out of turns, zip around corners, do quick turns, and more. It can be ridden facing forward or standing to one side, and is propelled by "slithering" from side to side or by pushing with your foot.

There are so many features that I like about this scooter, some of them being:
- As with some scooters, the kids don't have to push off and go straight. The Slither gives kids the freedom to do stunts and tricks.
- The deck is wide. I've seen some scooters with real narrow decks to stand on. This one allows ample room. The deck also has traction to keep your feet in place, so there's no worry about slipping off.
-It is very sturdy. I stood on the scooter myself and gave it a go. I'm a full-grown adult with some extra baggage and it held me up. I'm sure there's a weight limit, but I didn't feel that it was going to break underneath my feet.
-It is easy to clean. As I said, Logan put it through the mud and had it covered from top to bottom. Using a SKOY cloth and some water, I was able to easily clean it.
-It is made of high-quality parts. This isn't made up of cheap plastic. High-tensile steel parts and components ensures that it is going to be able to be used for a long time.

I was going to have one complaint about the scooter, that it didn't fold up. However, I've learned that it does so that adds to the benefits. If not folded up, it can take up a lot of room. I didn't want to leave it lay outside so the boys had it in their room for a while taking up space. That's until I figured out how to use the quick release neck to fold it up.

The boys plan on taking this scooter to the campground with them this summer to try out maneuvers and tricks on the open roads. They've had fun with the scooter and their patience definitely paid off.

I received product for review from Bravo Sports. The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way. Please do your own research when purchasing products, as your opinion may differ.

Random Tuesday Thoughts - Barely Broke 100

It's Tuesday again. Time for another edition of Random Tuesday Thoughts. If you'd like to participate, link up at The Un Mom.

randomtuesday

I don't know why other than the fact that I'm glutton for punishment, but I went bowling again on Sunday. Maybe it's because I wanted the sticker shock again of how much it costs to bowl. Wishful thinking got me nowhere when I thought that my game would surely improve this time. I had a final score of 108 at the end of the second game, and that was with bumper rails up! I'm sure the score would have been half of that if I didn't have a little help with the bumper rails nudging my ball back down the lane. Nothing better than watching a grown woman pout because she can't bowl to save her soul.

Wheeeee, we finally got a Wii! My husband did a little bartering and trading to get us the ultimate gaming system. Haven't played it yet because the system is all we had. But I got a couple of games earlier tonight and am ready to play today. Maybe I can actually bowl a decent score on the Wii...or not.

My husband let one of our iguanas run around the house the other night. That's not unusual. What is unusual is that it got brave and ventured into our kitchen. First went up into the stove and then back behind the fridge. He had to pull both appliances out to retrieve the lizard. Next time I say we just turn on the stove and let it cook. I hear that iguana tails are considered a delicacy.

Just when I thought we were in the clear from treacherous winter weather, it reared its ugly head yet again. Snow, freezing temps, and high winds. Looks like we won't be camping this Saturday after all.

Don't Let the Flu Get To You - Stay On Track With Triaminic

When one person in my household gets a cold or the flu, it's not long before another person gets it. And so on and so forth until all eight of us have completed the vicious cycle. I try to do what I can to keep illnesses from starting and help nip the symptoms in the bud as soon as they start.

To help parents determine whether to keep a child home from school due to cold or flu, Triaminic has partnered with the National Association of School Nurses to create "Sick Day Guidelines: Making the Right Call When Your Child Has a Cold". These guidelines help you determine whether you should send your child to school or keep them home. In addition to other information, they also give suggestions on how to prevent your child from getting a cold.

Triaminic is a leading company of children's medicine. One variation of medicine they carry is the Triaminic Thin Strips. They provide pre-measured doses of medicine that dissolve quickly on the tongue.

You can download a coupon to save $1.50 with purchase of Triaminic Thin Strips, or any other Triaminic product.

Another way you can prepare for cold and flu symptoms in your area is by tracking the activity levels in your area with the Cold and Flu Tracker. I learned that the area where I live is at a low level for sickness incidence at this time.

Although it's inevitable that kids can and will get sick, Triaminic helps me be prepared.

This is a sponsored post, but no product was provided and I was not monetarily compensated. All views and opinions with regard to the company are of my own and I was not influenced in any way. Triaminic provided the factual information.

Scrubz - Review & Giveaway

I have the skin of a crocodile, very rough and dry. It itches all the time and flakes off onto my clothes. I have this problem all year long, but it's the worst in the winter. I wish I knew the reason for this unpleasant problem. Since I don't, I have to do what I can to keep it from driving me mad.

One product I've found that helps in exfoliating and smoothing my skin is the Scrubz All Natural Sugar Body Scrub in pear vanilla. The mission for Scrubz Body Scrub, Inc. is to bring top quality, natural, affordably priced skin care treatments to people of all ages and skin types. Their product line includes Butterz, Oilz, Scrubz, and Shavez in a variety of scents.

I've used the Scrubz All Natural Sugar Body Scrub as part of my shower routine. I get in the shower and put the scrub on my skin with the included plastic scooper. The pear vanilla scent is pleasant and not too overwhelming. I have no doubt that the body scrub is exfoliating my skin when I use it. Once I am out of the shower and dried off, my skin feels smoother and the rough patches have softened. I've noticed that my skin does not flake as much as it did before I started using this product.

I recommend that you rub it on your skin gently. If you rub too hard, you may end up scratching your skin. There is no need to use a lot of the scrub; a little goes a long way. The Scrubz I received came in a cute organza bag and recyclable jar.

As a special gift for a loved one in your life, you can purchase the Scrubz Chocolate Dreamz Valentines Gift Set that includes 4 oz. Chocolate Scrubz, 2 oz. Chocolate Oilz Gift Set, a Valentine's duck, and chocolate.

Discount Code:

Receive 15% off your order by using the code "HECKOFABUNCH" at checkout. Code is valid until 2/28/10.

4 winners will each receive a $15 gift certificate to Scrubz online shop.

A Worry Free Philosophy

I went to church Saturday with my kids and a friend. I'm not a regular attender, but certainly try to make it when I can. A lot of sermons preached have hit home, but this one in particular did. Whether a person considers themselves religious or not, I think the point of this certain sermon resounds true for most of us.

WE STRESS AND WORRY WAY TOO MUCH!

I'm a guilty party of over analyzing and thinking about the outcomes of certain situations. Finances, health, and my family are just a few of the things that plague me with worry. I've gotten so stressed over things that I cry or my body becomes physically ill. Statistics link health and mental problems with stress. I've been privy to it often. My body hates certain foods and it hates high levels of stress. When I've ate the wrong thing or stressed too much, I become violently ill. Nausea, cramps, and diarrhea are just a few of my symptoms.

Guess what positive results come from me worrying and stressing? Nada! Nothing! Zip! Zilch!

There's nothing wrong with being proactive and hoping for a good outcome in life. But causing yourself to become riddled with worry and stress do nothing but make you more miserable. And, at times, it causes those around us to be miserable too.

Being that I do believe in God, I know He's in control of my life anyway and will decide outcomes for me. I can pray and ask and petition, but that's all. The rest is up to Him. I don't have control of my life; He does.

So I resolve to spend my life doing better things than worrying, stressing, and crying. I have no doubt that I will still do those things, but I'm going to make a conscious effort to just let go of those negative feelings and let life take me where it does.

To quote an infamous line from The Lion King......Hakuna Matata!

SKOY Cloth - Review & Giveaway

Going through a lot of paper towels seems like such a waste to me. I use them once to clean up a mess and then have to throw them away. It also seems like I'm constantly having to buy them.

Now I still buy paper towels, but not as often. I use the paper towels to wipe our hands and faces with when eating. But no longer do I use them for cleaning. That's because I've been using SKOY biodegradable cloths.

SKOY is an absorbent, multi-use cloth used for cleaning in place of paper towels, sponges, and wash cloths. It is made from natural cotton and wood-base cellulose pulp, making it 100% biodegradable. And the designs on them add a nice touch.

I put my SKOY cloths to the test. Having six kids in the house, messes are always made. I've used my SKOY cloths to clean up drink and food messes and to wipe off my counters. I've used them to wipe down my walls and clean the tub. My son even used one the other day to clean off his scooter after he got it in some mud. I've used the cloths with just water alone, as well as with cleaning agents.

To keep SKOY germ-free, it is recommended that it be microwaved daily when damp for 1-2 minutes. It is important that the cloth be wet. I've also thrown them in the washer and dryer to get them clean. When they come out of the dryer, they are curled up and a little hard. But they become soft again and work just fine once they are put under water.

SKOY got its name from the Swedish word skoj which means "just for fun". That is the philosophy of the two stay-at-home moms who created SKOY; to have fun with their business and bring fun to the kitchen.

Win It!
Two people will each win a 4-pack of SKOY Cloths in choice of design.

Wordful Wednesday - Allyson's 15th

My oldest step-daughter turned 15 earlier this month and we celebrated with a small gathering in my home over the weekend. Now we have two 15 year old girls in the house (until my daughter turns 16 in April).

When asked what she wanted to do for her birthday, Allyson said she just wanted family to get together and she didn't want any big hoopla. She's never been one for a big show of extravagance. So we had something small and simple, which was just as fun.

This is Allyson with her unopened gifts. Yes, the present on the bottom right is wrapped in Christmas paper! I'm usually very good about having bags and paper on hand for such occasions, but fell short this time. Allyson thought the Santa paper was a hoot. As I said, she's easy to please.

Allyson received some beauty products, books, a garden kit, and lots of cold, hard cash.

This is my youngest step-daughter, Emma, hamming it up for the camera.

These are a few of my family members who came for the occasion. We went all out with the fine china and gourmet pizza! Since the party was after lunch and before supper, we just served Little Caesars pizza and had birthday cake.

My son, Adam, is between two of my great-nieces.

Sweet Deals 4 Moms Is Helping Haiti

We are all aware of the tragedy that has hit Haiti with the massive earthquake. Many people's lives were taken due to this act of nature. Those who survived are going through an enormous struggle right now. Many are without food, water, or shelter...a luxury that most take for granted.

As a measure of empathy and support, Sweet Deals 4 Moms is doing her part to help. If you are a blogger and have a button, you can list it on her site with a link back to your blog up to the month of March for $1 via PayPal. For every button submitted she will match her amount to .25 cents for every $1 received. All monies received will go to the Red Cross.

Allow me to nudge you with a few of the reasons you should participate in Help for Haiti at Sweet Deals 4 Moms:
1. You are contributing to a good cause to help those in need. It's easy and inexpensive.
2. Your button will be displayed on the sidebar, possibly generating more traffic to your site.
3. You will receive extra entries into the giveaways hosted by Sweet Deals 4 Moms.

I hope to see her sidebar filled with blog buttons and lots of money raised for Haiti.

Random Tuesday Thoughts - Brach's Has My Heart

Oh terrific Tuesday! It's time to take what's on your mind and tell all:

randomtuesday
I went bowling with my husband and two sons Sunday evening. I took notice of two specific details: 1. I suck at bowling and am sure I'll never be invited to be part of a league. I couldn't break over 100 during any of the three games. 2. Bowling is no longer an inexpensive family activity. Seems like the prices have skyrocketed. However, I had lots of fun spending quality time with my favorite guys.

We had a small birthday party for my oldest step-daughter Saturday. She's the easiest to please. When asked what she wanted to do for her birthday, she said she was fine with having a dinner at the house with family. I always enjoy getting together with the family but I've come to the realization that my house is not accommodating for that many people and we need to slow our roll when it comes to reproducing. It seems as though the family doubles in numbers each year.

I must be desperate to go camping. The last day of January the campground will be open to campers for one night. Electricity will be turned on, but we'll be roughing it with no water. Here's keeping my fingers crossed that it's not super duper cold. I'd like to actually enjoy the experience, not associate it with misery.

I am absolutely addicted to Brach's Jube Jel Cherry Hearts. Unfortunately, they're only sold in stores during January and part of February. I won't let them get away from me for another year. I'll start a stockpile so I can enjoy the gooey goodness all year long.

I'm seriously thinking about exercising more and losing weight. I have yet to get past the serious thinking part.

POM Wonderful - Review

I knew that pomegranate was good for me; I just didn't know the reasons why. Apprently the list is pretty long for the benefits. POM Wonderful, with orchards located in California, has taken the pomegranate to a whole new level.

POM Wonderful is pretty serious about the pomegrante and has invested a large amount of money to understand the health benefits. POM Wonderful 100% Pomegranate Juice and POMx are full of antioxidants called phytochemicals . These antioxidants have been shown to have protective effects against oxidative stress.

POM's pomegranate juice is 100% authentic; the products contain no added sugars, preservatives, colors, or filler juices. Their products are backed by $32 million in medical research. POM Wonderful grows their own fruit and picks it by hand.

I had the opportunity to try the 100% Pomegranate Juice. All health benefits aside, the taste of the juice alone was a jolt of refreshness for me. It was not too sweet, nor too bitter. Unlike some other health drinks, this one was not hard to swallow. My husband tried it as well and thought it would make a nice drink to have on hand during the day while at work.

POM Wonderful ensures that you can get the benefits of pomegranate in many forms. POM Wonderful offers teas, juices, iced coffees, and more. Recipes can be found online using their products, some of which I expect to try out in the near future.

I've seen POM Wonderful iced coffees and juices sold at a couple of the local grocery stores where I live. They are sold in individual bottles. They are somewhat pricey; however, they are no more expensive than other health food products on the market.

I received products for review from POM Wonderful. The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way. Please do your own research before purchasing products, as your opinion may differ.

Mark-My-Time Digital Bookmark - Review & Giveaway

For some of my kids' school assignments, they are required to read a certain amount of material. It's not always easy to keep track of how many minutes they've read. With the Mark-My-Time digital bookmark, the kids can now keep track of the minutes themselves.

The Mark-My-Time digital bookmark is made of sturdy plastic so it does not easily rip or tear like some bookmarks do. I am thrilled when batteries are included when I purchase an item. Thankfully, Mark-My-Time includes a battery and is ready for instant use. It fits easily between pages and does not cause a bump in the pages of books. Instructions are included with the bookmark on how to use the different modes. However, if they become misplaced, you can easily get that information on their website.

There is more than one way to use this bookmark. Three modes of use are available. You can use the Countdown mode and read until the alarm sounds. The Count Up/Cumulative mode is great for keeping track of a weekly or monthly total. It can operate at the same time as the Countdown mode. There is also a Clock mode which lets you know what time it is.

I've had these bookmarks for a short time and have already found them to be a nice item to have. For Driver's Ed, my teenage daughter has to keep a log of how many minutes/hours she drives. She used to have a hard time keeping track. But now she inserts the digital bookmark into her log and takes it with her when she knows she is driving. She sets the counter when she starts and is able to easily see how long she has been driving.

The younger kids have homework assignments, some where they have to read for a set amount of time and some that they need to log how long they have read. This information is easy to see with the Mark-My-Time digital bookmark and they don't need any help deciphering how long they've read or how much time is left.

Win It!
Two people will each win a Mark-My-Time Digital Bookmark. One person will receive a purple bookmark and the other winner will receive a neon green bookmark.

RIP Karissa - God Will Take Care Of You Now

Last night while reading another blog, I read a post that blew me away. Karissa of Prissy Green passed away due to taking her own life. I did not know her personally but her blog is one that I frequented to enter giveaways and to get information on how to live more naturally. Her blog was a wealth of information and her bright personality shined through in her writings. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by this deep loss.

I won't go into great detail because there are some people who troll my blog just to get dirt on me, but I've been through the darkened road of suicidal thoughts before. I don't know what pain Karissa was in to make her feel this was the best decision for her, but I know the pain can be real. It eats at you. It makes you hurt. It makes you feel alone.

There was once a point in my life where the world tumbled down on me and I was positive there was nothing or no one that could help me. Not only was I not sure that I wanted to live, my body wasn't sure either. I became a real life robot, with nothing but a blank hole inside. I lost weight and would stop breathing for short periods of time. My mind hated myself and so did my body.
Acute clinical depression and OCD became my diagnoses.

I was at war with myself for a long time. God took over and brought a series of events into my life to show that things would be okay. It wasn't an overnight change but I soon came to realize that there is a light at the end of the darkened tunnel. I am a better person today and am no longer plagued with those thoughts or actions.

My line of work has also brought upon coming in contact with those who call for help or those who call to inform that a life has ended. These calls, at times, affect me personally because I want to scream and shake that person who calls for help and make them honestly believe that it really will be okay. And to hear the screams and hysterical cries of those who've found a loved hits at the core.

PLEASE, PLEASE .....if you ever feel that the world is okay without you, know that you are horribly wrong. Know that there are resources and people who will and want to help. And know that you're not the only one who's been through this profound pain. But most of all, know that God will see you through and it really will get better. Sometimes bad things happen to open the door for even better and greater things.

R.I.P. Karissa.

Freshpair - Review & Giveaway

**Warning - This post shows photos of models wearing undergarments. If this offends you or you have children in the room, you may want refrain from reading further.***

In my personal opinion, undergarments can help make or break how you feel. If I am wearing a bra that digs into my skin or shifts often, it can be quite irritating. I'm also not a fan of my underwear sneaking up in places that it's not welcome. I've bought many bras and underwear in my time that have been poor quality or have not given me the comfort I need.

Also, being somewhat of a larger size, it's hard to find undergarments that are cute. Usually I'm forced to go with plain white, black, or tan. I want pizazz, color, and oomph just like anyone else.

Thankfully, Freshpair has a large selection of bras, panties, sleepwear, and shapewear to suit anyone's needs.

I received the Wacoal Retro Chic Full Coverage Underwire Bra and the Wacoal Retro Chic Hi-Cut Brief for review. Usually I don't pay mind as to whether my bra and underwear match, but I've been wearing this set together. Not that anyone besides me or my husband gets to see it, but it's pretty nice to have such a lovely set of undergarments. The lace detailing is charming and the little diamond gemstone on the bra is lovely.

Unlike some other bras and panties that I've owned, this set has yet to cause me discomfort. It stays in place where it should. I've washed them in the washer and have laid them out to dry. So far, so good when it comes to keeping their shape and elasticity.

My oldest daughter received the b.tempt'd by Wacoal Pretty Please Bikini and the b.tempt'd by Wacoal Pretty Please Contour Bra. Wacoal's new line, b.tempt'd, caters to younger women's tastes and budgets. Her opinion of her bra and panty set are the same as mine. She is very pleased with them and has been satisfied with how well they fit her body.

My husband received the Nautica Cotton Trunk. Although I won't divulge what he normally wears, this is the first time he's worn this style of underwear. He likes them enough that he is interested in owning more of this kind. He particularly likes the waistband and how it helps keep the underwear from moving while in motion.

Wacoal and Nautica are just a couple brands offered at Freshpair. They carry all the top brands and styles to help you feel confident and comfortable. In addition, they offer free standard shipping on all U.S. orders.

Random Tuesday Thoughts - Toothaches Make Me Grumpy

It's another edition of Random Tuesday thoughts. If you'd like to participate, link up at The Un Mom.

randomtuesday

I thought my luck would have it that the toothaches have gone away and would stay away. Nope! They've snuck up on me again and the whole right side of my face is in a fight with me to keep me miserable. I know it's a sign to get to the dentist, and fast. But I'm holding out till extra money comes in. That, and I'm a big baby.

I declared my addiction to the HBO series, True Blood in my I want the Second Season Now! post. Since I can't yet have the second season on DVD for my viewing pleasure, I have purchased the first book and have been reading it. There are a total of nine books, all of which I'm sure I will purchase and read. I think I may have taken the addiction a little too far though. The other night we purchased a second iguana and it has been bestowed the name of Sookie. The main character in the True Blood series is a female waitress named Sookie. Forget about Team Edward or Team Jacob. It's Team Bill for me!

Oh, and the purchase of a second iguana was somewhat thrown upon me. Somehow my oldest son and husband got on the subject of how my son needed a lizard of his own and he'd do ANYTHING to have one (except, per his words, clean the toilet with a toothbrush). I knew it wouldn't take much persuading to my husband, as I knew he'd be more than thrilled with another one. So Saturday night, after the campground community dinner and auction, we went to the pet store and purchased one. I will say that Logan has held up his end of the bargain and has been helping around the house to "pay" for the iguana. However, I wonder, is it a sign of love or jealousy when the first iguana that we've owned has buried the new one with wood chips already and keeps walking all over it?!

Saturday we attended a get together for the campground that we are members of. It was nice to see friends that we hang with during the summer and learn of all the new activities being planned once the campground opens up again. Lots of food was ate and an auction helped raise money for the activities. I bought a few things that I didn't need, but it's quite an adrenaline rush to bid against someone and WIN!

The items donated were brought by campground members and I brought in my fair share of items to be sold. I was pleased with how much money my items sold for. I even paid for one of the items that I brought in. That's right, I technically brought and bought! My husband and I had our own bidding numbers and he won a bid on an item that I brought to be sold. Anytime thereafter, I had to make him aware of any items he should not bid on. Guess that particular item was meant to take possession in my household!
