Rango The Videogame - DS Video Game Review

My younger kids have yet to see the hit movie Rango, but they are even more excited to see it now that they've played Rango The Videogame. Available for different game platforms, we received the Nintendo DS version to review.

Rango The Videogame is now available for purchase. It allows players to explore a wide variety of environments featured within and beyond the film and challenges them to achieve near-impossible feats as they work to uncover a plot that threatens the entire population of Dirt.

Key features of the game include:

Continue Rango's Journey - Play as the quick-thinking chameleon Rango, the best Sheriff the town of Dirt has ever known, as you embark on new adventures and explore new environments beyond those seen in the film.

Ride Roadrunners and Desert Bats - Speed through the desert atop these unconventional chariots as you engage in extraordinary feats of acrobatic gunplay and more.

Meet the Dirtonians - From a group of mariachi birds who provide color commentary to a gang of wild rabbits, your fellow townsfolk will provide no shortage of fun and entertainment.

Golden Bullet Sequences - Hone your sheriff shooting skills in unique target shooting game play that promises to entertain and impress your Dirtonian admirers.

Wild West Shootouts - Face hordes of hostile rodents as you show the town who's boss in good, old-fashioned shootouts where fits are flyin' and spurs are shinin'.

The Nintendo DS version of Rango the Videogame is rated E for everyone while the games for other platforms are rated E 10+. My boys especially like playing Rango The Videogame. The visual effects are super and the different things they can do on the game keep them entertained for a long time. There are characters to shoot at, but there's no blood and gore. The various scenarios bring exciting challenges. The storyline integrated throughout the game make it absorbing and captivating. It may be hard for younger ones who do not read to follow the storyline. Rango The Videogame is a favorite among my younger kids and they are now even more excited to see the movie.
