The Kid Has Officially Reached Boredom

My 11 year old, Adam, has been on bed rest for exactly one week now.  He's got another week to go.  I believe he officially lost his mind yesterday.

You see, Adam never has been much of a TV watcher.  He gets excited about watching COPS once in a while, but not much beyond that.  Laying in bed with nothing to do for two weeks kind of changes things.  He's been watching quite a bit of TV in his room lately.

I found out exactly what he's been watching....the news coverage of the Casey Anthony trial.  For one, that kind of proves that he is bored out of his gourd when he'll sit for hours watching something like that.  It may have riveted the adult nation, but I dout many kids tune in to watch.  For another, it shows me just how angry he is at the judicial system right now.

I'm not going to make this a post about whether I think the verdict was fair and just.  Everyone's entitled to their own opinion.  But I will tell you, it's been a long time since I've seen Adam so mad as I did when he heard the verdict.  He's very shaken up about it all.  With that, son, it's time to flip on over to the Disney Channel.

It definitley wasn't a trial I enjoyed watching...for many reasons.

Hope he finds something to occupy his time better!!!

Oh, I hope he gets better soon. Poor guy!

I was so angry with the results of that I had to keep off Facebook and twitter for fear of saying something inappropriate and offending someone!

I didn't watch a glimpse of the Anthony's trial but read the verdict. It was headline on every news site.

Your son understands a lot for an 11 year old. He seems mature for his age to have understood and become enraged over the verdict.
