Fijit Friends Newbies - Review

By now you've probably heard of Fijit Friends, interactive toys that dance and respond to your voice.  Emma's heard of them before and was excited to recently receive Willa, the purple Fijit Friend.  To enhance the experience, she also received a couple of the new Fijit Friends Newbies.
Fijit Friends Newbies are pocked-sizes interactive toys that purr and sing as you nurture them.  The more you pet and tickle a Fijit Friends Newbies, the better it sings.  By squeezing the sides together, your Newbie will begin humming and singing.  The ears will also swing forward.  To nurture a Newbie, tickle and pet it with gentle pressure on the forehead or each paw.  It will pur, giggle, and coo.  The more you nurture it, the better its singing becomes.

If you have more than one, Fijit Friends Newbies can sing together.  A Duet Button is located where the belly button should be.  By touching the Duet Buttons of two Newbies, they start singing the same song.  If you have an original Fijit Friends, Fijit Newbies will also interact with it.  They have a secret language and interact with each other in surprising ways.  Although Fijit Friends Newbies interact with original Fijit Friends, it is not necessary to have one or the other to play with the interactive toys

To say that Emma is amused with Fijit Friends and Fijit Friends Newbies is an understatement.  Emma loves to sing and dance anyway, and these toys extend that interest.  The toys have a robotic voice that's clear to understand and provide hours of play.  Emma prefers the original Fijit Friends over the Fijit Friends Newbies because it has more interactions and phrases.  I've seen Emma play with the Fijit Friend alone and with the Fijit Friends Newbies.  I've often times even seen her dancing and singing along with them.  Emma makes sure to nurture her Fijit Friends Newbies; It's almost a daily ritual.  It's neat how the interactive toys can be played with alone or as pairs.

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Mattel and received two Fijit Friends Newbies and one Fijit Friends to facilitate my review.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products.   Your opinions and results may differ.
