Cisco Has A New Sister

I done fell off the deep end of the loony pool and got our family another dog.  Audi is an 11 month old German Shepherd we acquired on Friday.

I quickly found it's a definite change from the dog we currently have.  Cisco is a 9 year old Golden Retriever whose only faults are that he mooches for food and constantly craves attention.

For the most part, Audi will fit well in our home....I think.  She's very playful, which I expected would be the case.  She also knows commands, although I think she selects when she wants to obey them.

There's two major issues I have to work on, and quick like.  The first is that she's been using our floors for dookie duty rather than go outside.  She's supposedly housetrained so I'm chalking it up to her being new in our home.  It's been driving me loony but I'll give her a couple more days before boot meets butt.
She's also a furniture dog.  I'm not ultra OCD but I don't dig dogs hanging out on my furniture and I'm not keen on having a Spongebob sheet covering my couch to keep slobbers and paw prints from staining it.  I allowed it for the first couple days so she could get used to us, and Cisco took full opportunity to bask in the glory of all things furniture.  All in all, I think it will work out and everyone is happy to have the new addition in our home.

She'll catch on to the household routines. It's hard for them when they suddenly find themselves in a new house with new people, but I bet within a few weeks, she'll be doing just fine.
