On A Quick Road to Recovery With Vicks DayQuil and NyQuil - #spon

Like most mothers, I lead a very busy life.  My children aren't tiny tots and can generally care for themselves, but they still require my help and assistance.  I have to feed them, help with homework, make sure they're not killing each other, and run them to a ton of extracurricular activities.  That's just naming a few of the things I have to do to ensure they get by in day-to-day life.

On top of that, I have two dogs and a husband that require my constant attention.  I work 40 hours a week as a 911 Dispatcher and maintain a blog.  As the saying goes, "It's hard work but someone's got to do it."

Bottom line....I can't afford to get sick.  And if I do, I need medications that will get me back on my feet, and quick.  When I am down and out, I can't take care of my family's needs.  Although they could survive without me, you can't tell them that.  I have sick time accumulated at work but they frown upon me calling in a sick day.  It puts them in a bind finding someone to cover my shift.

To prevent myself from getting sick, I wash my hands often and have a steady supply of disinfecting wipes on hand to wipe down counter tops and surfaces often.  I also have tissue boxes dotted throughout the house so germs can be blown into them rather than spewed throughout the air.
If it just so happens that I'm feeling under the weather, DayQuil and NyQuil are two products that I turn to for aid in feeling better.  As the #1 pharmacist recommended brand for adult cough/cold/flu relief, Vicks DayQuil is there to help power through the day and Vicks NyQuil is there to ensure sleep through the night.

Vicks NyQuil helps relieve nighttime sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching and fever for a restful night's sleep when suffering from cough, cold or flu.  The relief provided by Vicks NyQuil Cold & Flu Relief is a result of three active ingredients that work to fight symptoms of cold, cough or flu.   The ingredients help relieve symptoms by suppressing the urge to cough, reducing a fever, alleviating minor aches and pains, and relieving sneezing and runny nose.

Vicks DayQuil Cold & Flu Relief offers non-drowsy, multiple-symptom relief for those who don't want to lose a moment to a cold or the flu.  It helps ease five symptoms of a cold - aches, fever, sore throat, stuffy head and cough.  The active ingredients in the formula work to suppress the impulse to cough, help clear nasal congestion for easier breathing, help relieve minor aches and pains, and reduce a fever.  For more information about either product, visit www.vicks.com

I've never used DayQuil or NyQuil for alleviating minor aches and pains, but I've used it for cough, cold and flu purposes.  They are products I trust to help me feel better and ease the pain while I'm ill.  I'm more apt to use DayQuil when I need to stay awake or go to work but use NyQuil on nights that I'm not schedule to work because it makes me a little drowsy, whereas DayQuil does not.  Using these over-the-counter medications, I'm on a quicker road to recovery.

Remember, before trying any new medication, make sure to check with your doctor and follow the proper recommended course of treatment.  DayQuil & NyQuil is not recommended for children younger than twelve.  Please consult with your physician before giving DayQuil & NyQuil to children.  When using either product, be sure to follow the usage guidelines for warnings and dosage directions or visit www.vicks.com for more information.

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Vicks DayQuil & NyQuil.  I received product samples and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.

This stuff really works. I wish they would make a version that kids could take.
