Ed Undead - Book Review

I received book for review.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.

Book Synopsis:

I never believed that I would have to live through a zombie apocalypse. One day I was Ed Kirk, a normal sixteen-year-old boy with a loving family, a beautiful girlfriend, and a full life ahead of me. Now I'm on the run from zombies, being hunted by a dark force that threatens my very existence, all the while trying to escape this town and find help. Oh, yeah, one more thing: I'm a zombie too!

My Review:

A book written for the young adult genre, Ed Undead tells of a teenage boy who was living a normal life one day and became half-dead the next.  Not yet a full-fledged zombie, Ed has to try to escape the wrath of a town overrun by zombies.  He must overcome obstacles and use leadership skills to save himself.  Ed even has to make a hard choice and choose between family or dear friends.

Although this book is for the younger group, I enjoyed reading it and found myself immersed in Ed's world, as he had to fight for his life.  There is mild violence but it's not outright gore.  The ending was left to make you think there will be a sequel, which I'd be provoked to read.
