Wordful Wednesday - Easter

We celebrated Easter very low-key this year.  Our usual tradition of meeting up with extended family at a community hall fell through when I had to work the night before and night of Easter.  Instead, I hosted a small gathering in my home with the husband and kids, brother and his family, and my mom.  Although it wasn't a big extravaganza, I had a lovely time and enjoyed the company.
Me and Adam made this Oreo Fluff, complete with "Easter Bunny poop", as my great-niece exclaimed.

Even our meal was somewhat non-traditional.  The menu contained fried chicken, buttered corn, mashed potatoes, deviled eggs, sugar cookies, Oreo fluff, coleslaw, peach cobbler, and a cheese ball.

Four of our lovely kids.

Notice how Allyson photobombed this one?!

The kids didn't get Easter baskets either.  I know, I know...
They are older so the magic isn't the same as it once was.  Each kid got a gift and a piece of candy.

Allyson received a camo bed sheet, popcorn and popcorn containers, and a ginormous bag of M&Ms.

Hope you had a splendid Easter!

A small, non-traditional family gathering is sometimes the best way to celebrate! Love all the shots (and giggled over Allyson photo-bombing that one shot). :) Looks like a perfect Easter! :)
