My Treasured Chest - Pandora's Box

This post is part of the "My Treasured Chest" series where I post about findings from my cedar chest. You can read about how it all began at the My Treasured Chest - The Beginning post.

Remember the days of cassette tapes?  The first one I ever purchased was from Too Short, a rapper who has his way with words.  My mother had her way with words when she discovered the songs were quite inappropriate for a teenager such as myself.

I've never been one to have a musical collection.  I can count on one hand the number of cassette tapes I've purchased and the count for CDs isn't much higher.  I know if I like a song, but probably couldn't tell you who sings it or what the actual song title is.

For some reason or other, I can't seem to part with one cassette tape collection in particular.  I've held on to it for years, even though it probably holds more sentimental value than monetary value.  Pandora's Box by Aerosmith is a group of three cassette tapes nestled inside a decorative box that includes a poster of the band.

Aerosmith brings back free-spirited memories of my teenage years.  Steven's distinct voice and the rock-n-roll edge of the band has been what's kept me hanging on to this collection.

Do you still own cassette tapes?  Are there any bands or songs that bring back specific moments for you?

I don't have any anymore. I just took them all and threw them away. My husband asked if I wanted to go through them? I just said, "Nope, then I'll change my mind."

I like Aerosmith to.
