True Blood: My Absolute Must-See TV

In exchange for this post I received DVD set.  This promotion was sponsored by Connect Your Home.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.
There are several shows on TV that I enjoy watching but there is one and only one that's must-see TV for me.  That means no visitors, no bathroom breaks, no phone calls, no nothing while this show is on.  One hour every Sunday is all I ask.  The program that has me absolutely hooked is True Blood.

I can even remember the first time I ever watched True Blood.  It started with viewing Season One on DVD.  Me and Jason heard others talking highly of the show and thought we'd see what the buzz was about.  Christmas Eve a few years ago he and I popped in the DVDs and have been hooked ever since.  We had no kids that night and spent twelve hours straight mesmerized in a True Blood marathon.  We only got up to change DVDs and potty breaks were even at a minimal.  An intervention would've been in order.

Now I don't have any sort of patience to wait for True Blood to come out on DVD.  I pay extra every month for the premium channel HBO just so I can watch True Blood every Sunday.  I admit, it's an  addiction, but I can't keep my eyes away from Sookie's troubles, Alcide's pecs, Sam's shapeshifting, or Jason's quirkiness.

For those not in the know, True Blood is about vampires who mingle with ordinary citizens thanks to a Japanese scientist's invention of synthetic blood.  And while humans have been safely removed from the menu, many remain apprehensive about these creatures.  Religious leaders and government officials around the world have chosen their sides.  The show also revolves around Sookie Stackhouse, a waitress who has been cursed by being half-faerie.  Not to mention there's shapeshifters, wolves, and witches thrown into the mix.

Season five left off with Alcide claiming his right as packmaster of the wolves and Bill being possessed by a vampire goddess.  Added to that was the Vampire Authority and Andy becoming a daddy to some unusual babies.

Season six of True Blood premiered June 16th.  The show airs every Sunday night on HBO.  As expected, I've seen the last three new episodes.  Sookie is in danger, as always, and needs protection from an almighty vampire.  The Louisiana governor is experimenting on vampires and using what he learns for advanced weapons.  Bill is still half possessed and foresees the future.  Alcide and Sam fight over Emma and where she belongs since her mother died.  It's pure suspense!

True Blood is so full of lust, tension, excitement, and thickening plots that I can hardly contain myself when it airs. True Blood isn't for the weak, children, or fanghaters.  There are scenes of violence, nudity, and strong language.  It's pure raunchy entertainment and I love it!

Tell me, are you as obsessed with True Blood like I am?  Or, dare I say it, is there a different show that you find more superior to occupy your viewing time?

Oh yes! Thanks to True Blood I wasn't too sad about Game of Thrones wrapping up for the season. HBO consistently produces some really amazing shows.
