St. Louis Zoo Animals

I went to the St. Louis Zoo Saturday with two of my teens, and a co-worker and her kid. The weather was hot but not unbearable, and we were able to see some amazing animals. We didn't get to see all the exhibits but had a great time. Tomorrow, during Wordful Wednesday, I'll post more about what we did but here are some pics I took of a few zoo animals.

The baby elephant, Priya, was born this April.

"Hey Mike, do you know what day it is? It's Hump Day. Woot Woot!"

I thought for sure that phrase would be overused when walking by the camels, but only one person around the exhibit at the time understood the commercial I was referring to. Whatever, I had fun yelling it out.

Bubba is one of the main attractions of the Sea Lion Show.

What are your favorite animals to see at the zoo?

That looks like a great zoo!! My boys are always fascinated by the zebras & elephants.

I can just see you yelling it out as you pass the camel exhibit. This is why we would probably make good friends cause I would have been right there quoting the commercial with you xD

Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun and it looks like a beautiful day to visit the zoo!

I love looking at the big cats when going to the zoo :)

I love going to the zoo. I think gorillas are my favorite. I could watch them play all day long!

So I wonder which one would win in it's coolness St. Louis Zoo, or the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha? I've had this debate with my friends. Some are from St. Louis, some are from Kansas City and others live here in Omaha, Nebraska. It seems to be a debated hot topic when we discuss it. I do know that the St. Louis Zoo is free, but I'm sure paid for in taxes. The Henry Doorly Zoo is not free.

What animals do I like? The monkey family. They seem so active, and have emotion.

It has been years since I've been to a zoo and I would love to go to a really big one next time.
