My Kind of Country Party

Friday night a couple we are good friend with hosted a bonfire at their home, located in the boondocks. My husband was out of town so I headed up there for a few hours.

For those who didn't want to sit around the bonfire, they could shake a leg to the DJ music.

Several people I knew from the campground were there. I had a lot of fun hanging out with good friends.

The real fun came when the mud trucks were busted out and ran pedeal to the metal through a mud trench. Not one to let the guys show us up, a few girls took over the wheel and showed what they had.

My vehicle isn't made for off-roading but I wanted to go experience the mud run myself. I threw my Trailblazer in 4-wheel drive and made a couple passes. It was an adrenaline rush!

I prefer bonfires over Birkenstocks and campfires over Coach. The smell of an open fire and the rush of a mud run are what this girl is all about!

looks like the weather was just right. Here in the suburbs the bonfires are few and far between. Some have fire pits on their patios but it just isn't the same thing

I'm all about fires, good company, and fun times as well! Who needs anything aside from that!? :)

I can't say I've ever been muddin' before, but I'd definitely love to give it a go!
