Wordful Wednesday - Tindusters

Every year in October, over 900 pre-1949 street rods roll into our town. Streets are blocked off on Saturday to allow for the cars to line up and display their rides to car enthusiasts. For those that miss out on Saturday, the same opportunity is offered on Sunday at a local park. Each year, generous street rodders and visitors donate thousands of dollars to help support Camp Callahan, a summer camp for special needs children.

I've attended Tindusters every year for the past several years. Although the cars are way above my budget of ever owning one, it's a wonder to see the restoration and beauty of each street rod. This year, while my husband helped one of the vendors sell car parts, me and Adam walked down the rows of cars to comment on our favorites and "oooooh" and "ahhhh" over our dream rides.

Do you attend car shows? What's your dream ride?

Way cool! They do a lot of antique car shows up my way and we go to a few a year.

We are street rodders! My husband is currently restoring a 1940 Buick coupe. We also have a 1930 Model A. Our small town has a car show every Sunday night, blocking off the downtown street, along with a concert. Fun times.
