Black Friday Shopping Trip

I had no plans on shopping any stores on Black Friday, but Menard's had some good deals I couldn't pass up. They opened at 6 am and I had to work so I didn't get there till 6:30. It was a madhouse but I didn't have to stand in line and wait for the bum rush when the doors opened.

It's been years since I've been Black Friday shopping. I've heard the horror stories and I don't have the tolerance not to tell people off. All the nice people in town must've shopped at Menard's because there's not one person who made me want to tackle them. People were cooperative and nice. The employees had their heads on straight and were helpful. All in all, it was a pleasant experience. The wait in line was the hardest part. I spent a good 35 minutes in line and that was one of the shortest. That's only because I checked out at the Lawn & Garden Center, the one place that had no heat whatsoever. I scored everything I went after, with the exception of one item. That was the Axe gift sets and I assume they went so quick because there was a coupon in the paper for them, making them even lower in price.

Did you do any Black Friday shopping? Was your experience pleasant or a pain?

I did black Friday once, at Best Buy, and it was enough to make me write off ever going out on black friday ever again. For the rest of my life.

I hibernate all day long on Black Friday...still recoiling from attempting to do it years before. ;)

Glad you scored all you were hoping to get!

Books are always favorites on our list. This looks like a nice round up!

We went to the mall to kill time while Mica was at a birthday party. I bought 3 pairs of pants for the boys. It wasn't too bad.

I was healthy enough to actually go this year so I decided to get up at the butt crack of dawn to go with my mom and sister. Quite honestly it was pretty dead here!

We didn't have much trouble with anyone either but at the same time it was a little bit of a disappointment deal wise.
