John Frieda Smooth Waves Hair Setter - Review

I'm no expert but I like to try different styles on my hair. One day I'll straighten it and the next I'll give it some curl. I've been able to acquire loose waves on my hair with the John frieda Smooth Waves Hair Setter.

Featuring five 2-inch titanium ceramic-coated jumbo rollers, this professional grade hair setter creates silky waves for a full-bodied look. The innovative design uses a true ionic generator to safely distribute heat, so hair stays shiny and frizz free. The generously-sized 2” jumbo rollers have a built-in extreme heat feature to heat up instantly, giving you perfectly smooth, voluminous waves in a flash.
There are five rollers and clips included with this hair roller set. The rollers are held in place to the hair with the butterfly clips. Once you turn the power on, heat time is minimal. Two temperature settings, high and low, are available.

I have medium length, thick hair. Placing the five clips in my hair and letting them set for a short period of time, I'm able to obtain the wavy style I desire. The rollers do work somewhat better on longer hair. My step-daughter, Juliann, used them on her long hair and the smooth waves came out beautifully.

These rollers are not meant to curl hair, but rather give it nice, smooth waves. All five rollers are the same size. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about this because I've only had hair roller sets with varying sizes. It actually worked out well. With a little hairspray, the waves stay in place all day.

Well, I have very naturally curly hair and pay a small fortune for keratin treatments to get it straight, so I won't be using these :)

I like to add some wave to my hair occasionally. Especially in the summer for a beachy look :)
