Kitchen Bench No More

There we were minding our own business, me and Jason. One minute we're happily talking with friends and gnoshing on pizza. The next minute we're on the floor with the threat of splinters and concussions.

I don't own a regular ole' kitchen table and chairs. It's called a kitchen nook with one table, one bench with no back, and two other benches with backs. It's the bench with no back that took a vengence on us.

I'm not sure, but I'm thinkin' that duct tape and wood glue won't fix this one!

Yikes. I would try the duct tape to see what happens. Supposedly it's strong enough to hold just about anything.

Wood glue can work! Our piano bench decided to break after my nephew jumped on it. Some heavy duty wood glue and something to hold the pieces in place while it sets, and that should work just fine.

I have had that happen to me before in an old rocking chair. One minute I am rocking, the next, I am on the floor with my legs up. Not pretty!

Hope you are both ok! Did you get to finish dinner? The good thing may be you can go shopping for a new bench! :) #sitsgirls

Oh mu goodness! That would be scary at first, and then hopefully a little funny? when stuff like that happens I tend to think, at least it's blog worthy :)

Oh, no! It's worse when others see these things. I don't know anything about home repair but I'm thinking your right on the duct tape and glue thing. Hope you come up with an idea to fix the bench situation soon!

Yikes what a tragedy! I hate when something I use and love breaks.

That's too bad! Bye bye bench. I'd actually like a breakfast nook. We don't have a dining room, and I think one of those would fit our kitchen better.
