Wordful Wednesday - Nephew's Wedding

Me with husband Jason

My nephew got married last Saturday. After much hemming and hawing, I decided to go and I drug my teenage son along with me.

I won't bore you with all the details but I have mixed emotions about my nephew and his (now) wife so I struggled with whether to attend the nuptials or not. David's a good guy, he really is. But his demeanor and attitude have changed since hooking up with Emily. She's helped him mature, but she's also helped make sure he doesn't have much to do with his side of the family.
Me with step-daughter, Emma

I decided to be the bigger person and attend the wedding. Besides, I had a new dress I wanted to wear. (Original price was $75. Got it for $16!) I paid little attention to the invite and had it in my head that it was taking place at a particular church. I showed up ten minutes till two and busted in on a baby shower. Wrong church! With just a few minutes to spare, I made it to church in time as the last guest.

I took just a few pictures of the celebration. It was horribly cold, both inside and out. Regardless of past irritations, I wish Emily and David all the best in the future. I think they'll do well as husband and wife.

Your dress is gorgeous! I'm glad you decided to go, regardless of your feelings for his new wife.

Sometimes I like going to stuffy old weddings just to wear some of my dresses lol. You looked fabulous in your new dress!

Congrats to them!! You look great and the bride and groom do too.

Maybe they'll become more social now that they're official. Cross fingers, knock on wood. :)
