Random Tuesday Thoughts - Hair Fiasco and Referees

I've been a fan of Random Tuesday Thoughts for some time now. I can babble and carry on about a bunch of randomness and nothingness. If you'd like to play along, link up at Stacy Uncorked.
First things first, I'm gonna gross you all out with a clump of my hair. I decided to play Edward Scissorhands last night and went ape sh*t on thinning the stuff. It's hotter than Hades right now and I got tired of feeling like Sasquatch was sitting on my head.

Unfortunately, I went a little (ok, a lot) overboard and did more than thin. It's now three different lengths on the end. I'm debating whether to try to fix the damage myself or leave it to the professionals. (Like I didn't learn my lesson in the first place.)

------------------
Shelby, my 20 yoa daughter, got voted in as a referee for the roller derby team. Now to come up with a derby name.

With my brother as the coach, my sister-in-law as a derby girl, and me and Shelby as referees we almost make up a family takeover.

Last weekend another one of our derby girls broke her ankle. She's gonna need surgery. This is the fifth ankle/knee injury we've had this season. Seems to be prevalent in roller derby. Kinda scares me.

---------------
If there are any prayer warriors out there, I'd appreciate prayers for my mother. She's going through a lot of health issues right now, and they all came on her at once. She went to get new eyeglasses and came out with a bunch of other problems, a couple of them possibly being cancer and another possibly being Multiple Sclerosis. Before anything can be done, she has to go to a heart specialist to get clearance for a biopsy. She's my BFF and my rock.

---------------
I ordered HBO just to watch the final season of True Blood. It's the one and only show I've been a faithful follower of from the beginning. Alcide's lookin' particularly yummy this season.

Logan went to St. Louis last Saturday and competed in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) qualifiers for Track & Field. He placed 3rd in one running event and 5th in the other. Because of his finishes, he'll be going to Iowa later this summer to qualify in the Junior Olympics. That's my boy!

What randomness do you have going on this week?

That is a lot of hair. I have curly hair under my keratin, so I never touch mine myself.

My sister has super thick hair. I'm thinking she should get her's thinned during the summer. It would probably be better to go somewhere to get it done.

thinking of your mom! That's not fun.
