Ripley's Believe It Or Not!: Reality Shock - Review and Giveaway

I received product for review. The opinions within this pot are of my own and I was not influenced in any way. Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services. Your opinions and results may differ.

Ripley's Believe It or Not! has intrigued me since I've known about it. The oddities and weird facts may not be life learning lessons that I need to know about but they sure are interesting. Someday I'd love to visit one of Ripley's Believe It or Not! attractions. Until then, I'll be pacified by reading their publications.

Ripley Publishing is gearing up for the fall launch of Reality Shock, the Ripley's annual that has come to be a favorite for its amazing stories and jaw-dropping images. The 256-page book will be available for sale on September 9th.

Ripley's Believe It Or Not!: Reality Shock will be the newest book in the bestselling Ripley's Believe It Or Not! annual series. Daring readers will be treated to an all new collection of the most bizarre, incredible and amazing true stories from around the world. With thousands of true-yet-unbelievable facts and stories, as well as hundreds of full-color photos, this title is sure to fill readers with wonder and astonishment.

The hardcover book has an engraved foil front with a holographic face that morphs into a skeleton when you move it back and forth.

Me and my teen kids have engulfed ourselves in this illustrative book. I could immerse myself for hours reading everything in this 256-page book and still find new and interesting things the next time I read it. It's FULL of entertaining facts and information about all sorts of weird happenings, feats, animals and people around the world. There's photos for almost every story. The kids love this book as much as I do. I keep it out on the coffee table and it seems to get picked up every night by someone in the house to scan and learn even more fascinating stuff. It definitely sparks conversation and "would you do that" questions. There are some photos in the book that may be disturbing to some people or inappropriate for younger children. I'm immensely pleased with this book and will keep it for years, to read and reread several times.

Win It!

Two people will win Ripley's Believe It Or Not!: Reality Shock book.

I love thunderstorms. Not wimpy ones but ones that are severe enough to knock the power out for awhile. Weird but best I could come up with for now.
