PetSafe Train 'n Praise Potty Training System - Review and Giveaway

I received product for review.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.

Helen, our Labrabull, came into our lives nine months ago. She's been a welcome addition to the family and we enjoy her presence. Helen has been fairly good with learning commands. She can give a high-five like nobody's business and she'll usually sit when told. She has a stubborn streak though and has showed that several times when we've tried to keep her from jumping on people and going potty outside.

Potty training was becoming quite stressful. Helen would take her business outside...if she felt like it. If she didn't, she'd just find a spot in our house and go to town. She knew it was wrong because she'd immediately go upstairs. But it never stopped her. Drove me batty.

I received the PetSafe Train 'n Praise Potty Training System a few weeks ago and it's been somewhat of a lifesaver. Using the system, Helen is now almost completely housebroken and I don't have to stress about pet "surprises" in my home.

The Train ‘n Praise™ Potty Training System pairs an absorbent pee pad with a treat dispenser for easy house training and obedience training. This potty training tool uses treats to encourage good behavior and allows training to continue while you're away. As your dog pees on the replaceable pee pad, the moisture alerts an internal sensor in the pad, which wirelessly sends a signal to the treat dispenser. The treat dispenser then releases treats or kibble, rewarding your puppy for using the pee pad instead of your floor. Urine is trapped in the leak-proof bottom layer of the pee pad, leaving your floor clean and dry.

Included with the PetSafe Train ‘n Praise™ Potty Training System is a treat dispenser, a remote transmitter, ten moisture detection pee pads, a pee pad clip, 4 AA batteries, two lithium batteries, mounting hardware and a product manual. I strongly suggest that you read the manual before use. Although the potty training system is fairly easy to use, it has instructions that detail how to use it and the best method for maximum results.

The PetSafe Train n' Praise Moisture Detection Pads work exclusively with the Train 'n Praise Potty Traning System. When your pet urinates on the moisture detection pad, a signal is sent to the treat dispenser which automatically releases a reward. You can fill the treat dispenser with small pet treats. The Pee Pad Clip needs to be attached onto the designated area of the Moisture Detection Pads. If it's not attached in the exact place, it will not operate. The treat dispenser needs to be in close proximity, and direct supervision during the first two weeks is important.

Helen has done quite well with the Train 'n Praise Potty Traning System. After a few times of showing her what it was all about, she caught on and started doing her doggie business on the pee pads. The moisture detection pads don't leak and can just be thrown away when soiled. Although Helen still has a mess in the house from time to time, it's not near a problem it used to be. I feel the potty training system has been useful in getting her to take her business outside.

The wonderful thing about the PetSafe Train 'n Praise Potty Training System is that you can use the treat dispenser and remote after potty training is completed to train other commands and encourage good behavior.

Win It!
