Charlie Brown and his friends are throwing a party to celebrate great inventions! To prepare for the party, everyone in the Peanuts gang is coming up with a favorite “big idea” from history. But Charlie Brown has a problem: he can’t think of any big ideas! Rediscover history’s great inventions—and learn about a very important inventor you’ve never even heard of before—in this fun and enlightening new Peanuts story.

Featuring classic Peanuts characters, this hardcover book with rich illustrations gets children involved.  It first tells the story of how the Peanuts gang comes up with their own ideas for Big Idea Day.  Charlie Brown, in his classic "good grief" state, has the hardest time coming up with a big idea.  In the end, he comes up with a final project.

When the story is over, parents and children can further elaborate on big ideas and inventions with the pages that explain some famous inventors and what inventions they were famous for.  There's also pages for children to write down their own big idea, and draw a picture of it.

What's the Big Idea, Charlie Brown? is a 2014 Regenery Kids publication.

My nephews would like this. They are big Peanuts fans. One year for Christmas I bought them all Peanuts mugs for their hot chocolate.

Snoopy! Though I always feel so bad for poor Charlie. Whatever did he do to deserve the crummy treatment he gets from everyone?
