Jesus Calling - #‎FCblogger‬ Review and Twitter Party Info

I received book for review.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.

After many years of writing in her prayer journal, missionary Sarah Young decided to "listen" to God with pen in hand, writing down whatever she believed He was saying to her. It was awkward at first, but gradually her journaling changed from monologue to dialogue. She knew her writings were not inspired as Scripture is, but they were helping her grow closer to God. They are written from Jesus' point of view, thus the tit
le Jesus Calling.

Others were blessed as she shared her writings, until people all over the world were using her messages. It is Sarah's fervent prayer that our Savior may bless you with His presence and His peace in ever deeper measure. To that end, she shares Jesus Calling: Enjoying Peace in His Presence, featuring devotions for every day of the year. In these powerful pages are the words and Scriptures Jesus lovingly laid on her heart. Words of reassurance, comfort, and hope. Words that have made her increasingly aware of His presence and allowed her to enjoy His peace.

This remarkable book includes a year’s worth of daily readings from Young’s journals to bring you closer to Christ and move your time with Him from monologue to a dialogue.
My Review:

I find that daily devotionals are a great way to help me spend time in God's word and see how it applies to my life.  The daily devotionals in Jesus Calling are inspiring and uplifting.  I'm able to see how Jesus really cares for me and about me, through the words written in this book.  My husband leads a one-on-one meeting every Wednesday with another Christian male.  They've been using the devotionals from Jesus Calling as a cornerstone for conversation.  The hardcover book is a daily reminder of the unconditional love Jesus has for us.

All Jesus Calling books will be on sale at 50% off starting November 14th.  That would be a great time to buy the products and give them as holiday gifts.

Also, a Twitter party will be taking place November 14th at 1-2 pm EST.  Use the hashtage #JesusCalling during the party for a chance to win prizes.  Five participants will win Jesus Calling - 10th Anniversary Expanded Edition and a $50 appreciation certificate.  Another five people will each win a $50 appreciation certificate.

I like that she was open to doing what she felt called to do. Seems to be a struggle sometimes to do that, instead of what we think we ought to be doing. And look at the blessings because of it!! For her and others. #verycool
