Whoop! Whoop! It's another edition of Random Tuesday Thoughts, hosted by Stacy Uncorked. It's a day and a way to post your random thoughts.
I hate to be the Grinch, but Christmas just isn't exciting me this year. I have very little holiday spirit in me. Usually by now, all the presents are wrapped and the stockings are hung with care. As it is, my bedroom looks like elves threw up all over it. Dirty, filthy elves. Elves that just gave up and called it quits.
My 16 yoa boy, Logan, took part in a 5K on Thanksgiving. With over 300 runners, he did well by placing first in his age division and sixth overall. Pretty impressive, I must say! Especially considering it was colder than a polar bear's toenails.
Me and two of my offspring watched 'Mockingjay - Part 1' in theaters Sunday afternoon. It was pretty good, other than the fact that I'll have to watch Part 2 when it comes out ten years from now to find out what happens in the end. I gorged myself on butter theater popcorn. And then ate some more.
My dog thought she'd get the sauce remnants out of my crockpot a couple weeks ago, so she jumped her happy little self up on my sink and knocked it to the floor. Considering I use the crockpot often, it was quite a bummer. Never fear; I now have five of them! I bought one on Black Friday to replace the broken one. My brother showed up the next day with a new one for me. My son came back from a friend's house with a dual crockpot shortly after, and another friend dropped one off to us. People really came through for us on that one! Now there should be no reason for me to have a crockpot shortage.
My mom was supposed to have a lumbar puncture procedure done yesterday to determine if she also has spinal cancer. She went in...and they sent her out. She's too weak at this time to have that kind of procedure done. I instead took her to the other side of the hospital to get infused with fluids. If it's not one thing, it's another. Ah well, I still have faith it'll all work out.
So, what have you been up to this week? Have you or do you have plans to watch Mockingjay? Are you full of holiday spirit or kind of a Scrooge like me? Happy RTT!
