Animal Helpers: Raptor Centers - Children's Book Review and Giveaway

I received book for review.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.

Even powerful birds of prey can get sick or hurt. When that happens, animal helpers at raptor centers come to the rescue! Dedicated staff treats injured, sick, and orphaned animals. They return the birds to their native environment or find forever homes at education and raptor centers for those that can’t survive in the wild. Follow along in this photographic journal as staff and volunteers come together to care for these remarkable birds.

My Review:

With realistic photos, Animal Helpers: Raptor Centers enlightens children what daily tasks animal helpers take on at raptor centers.  General information about raptor surgeries, feedings, cleanings, and more is given in the book.  For those interested in someday becoming an animal helper, there's even suggestions on what they should do.  Each raptor pictured in the book is identified, helping children visually see what different raptors look like.  The "For Creative Minds" section in the back of the book allows further raptor teaching with Raptor Adaptations, what to do if you find a raptor, and info on volunteers.  There's also a 'Match the Raptor' lesson and a 'Diurnal or Nocturnal' lesson.  Animal Helpers: Raptor Centers is informative and gives children just the right about of information about what raptors are and how raptor centers help these creatures.

Animal Helpers: Raptor Centers is a 2015 release from Arbordale Publishing.
