Duck Commander Devotions for Kids - Children's Book Review and Giveaway

I received book for review.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.

The first devotional for kids by the Robertson family of Duck Dynasty fame!

With the Robertson clan’s flair for down-home wisdom and their wholesome family values, this devotional reveals the heart and faith of this much-loved family from A&E’s hit show Duck Dynasty. The more than 6-million moms, dads, and little ones who are loyal fans of the Duck Dynasty family will love this collection of inspirational messages.

Each devotion contains a brief message, an anecdotal story from America’s favorite family, a passage from Scripture, a prayer, and a Duck Commander in Action. Not only are the messages motivational, but they are also mixed with the characters’ trademark wit and revelations from their personal faith journeys. An ideal companion product for Duck Dynasty fans, outdoor enthusiasts, and those who want to grow in their faith, Duck Commander Devotions for Kids is certain to inspire little ones in their faith journey.

My Review:

You'd be hard pressed to find someone who doesn't know the Duck Dynasty celebrities.  They're famous for the family-themed television show about duck calls, country living, and Christian beliefs.  Although I'm not a devoted fan of Duck Dynasty, I've watched their shows from time to time and admire that they stand firm in their religious beliefs.

A hardcover book with 224 pages, Duck Commander Devotions for Kids is a wonderful resource for children to delve into God's word and how it can apply to their lives.  Each devotion talks about different subjects, from being thankful to being strong and brave, and everything in between.  For each devotion there is a bible verse and a short prayer.  There's also a relatable Duck Dynasty story, as well as tips and advice on how to work those areas of our life.  The "Duck Commander in Action" section in each devotion encourages kids to take action by doing simple things like writing down what they're thankful for or drawing a heart and then penning what and who they love inside that heart.

I think the Duck Commander Devotions for Kids is written in a way that will make kids want to read it, as well as follow through with the actions requested of them.  If your children are not familiar with the Duck Dynasty cast, they may not associate with the stories that involve the famous family because the stories are told from the family's experiences.  Despite that, this is a perfect devotion for kids to get plugged into.

Win It!
