Celebrate National Chip and Dip Day - #HormelFamily

I received products as part of the Hormel Foods Extended Family blogger program.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.

Let’s face it – there are few things on this earth more irresistible than a bowl of your favorite dip. No matter your preference (HORMEL® Chili Cheese Dip, anyone?), National Chip and Dip Day is the perfect excuse to indulge.

Celebrate National Chip and Dip Day (which just so happens to be today, March 23rd) and break out a jar of flavorful CHI-CHI’S® Salsa after school or enjoy a fun-size HORMEL® Snackers at work.    I, for one, will be celebrating this little known holiday by pairing white corn tortilla chips with CHI-CHI'S Medium Cilantro Salsa.

Cruise HormelFoodsRecipes.com for a new recipe.  In the meantime, here's a recipe for Bacon SPAM Cheeseburger Dip.

Bacon SPAM Cheeseburger Dip

Ingredients:

1/2 pound ground beef
1 (12-ounce) can SPAM® with Bacon, diced
1/2 medium onion, diced
1 clove garlic, minced
4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Potato or corn chips, for dipping

Directions:

Heat oven to 350°F.

In large skillet, cook ground beef until heated thoroughly (165°F.); drain well. In same skillet, heat SPAM® with Bacon until lightly browned. Remove from pan; set aside to cool.

In same skillet, saut√© onion and garlic in drippings. In large bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, shredded cheeses, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Add beef, SPAM® and onion mixture; stir until well combined. Pour mixture into baking dish. Bake 15 to 20 minutes. Serve with favorite potato or corn chips.
