Fibonacci Zoo - Children's Book Review and Giveaway

I received book for review.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.

When Eli and his father visit an unusual zoo, they count the creatures in each exhibit. Eli sees one alligator, then one bison, and next two camels. Soon a number pattern emerges and Eli thinks he can predict how many animals will be in the next exhibit. Explore the zoo with Eli as he runs ahead to test his hypothesis.

My Review:

I'm not necessarily a mathematical wizard, but I thought I was familiar with most math terms.  Apparently not!  Fibonacci is an actual word for a particular number pattern.  Learn something new everyday!

Fibonacci Zoo is a book that tells of a boy and his father who visit a zoo and see a variety of animals.  The boy notices a pattern between the number of animals in the zoo.  He takes note of it on paper.  The boy soon catches on to what the pattern is and begins to figure out how many animals he'll come across next.  The book is educational, and tells about number patterns in a fascinating way.  It's a world where animals and numbers come together.

The "For Creative Minds" section in the back of the book explains different kinds of number patterns, teaches about Fibonacci numbers in nature and the human body, has facts on golden spirals, and has a game on animal matching.

Fibonacci Zoo is a 2015 book release by Arbordale Publishing.
