This Land is Your Land - Children's Book Review and Giveaway

I received book for review from Arbordale Publishing.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.

Take a trip around the world to discover a wide variety of Earth’s landforms and geological features through the rhythmic verse in This Land is Your Land. On the journey encounter plains, plateaus, and rolling hills. Find out how a stream can make a canyon or lava creates an archipelago. Read aloud and discover new terrain with the flip of each page.

My Review:

Told in cadence form, This Land is Your Land details and illustrates geographic areas and why they're called what they are.  Children will get a grasp of what valleys and plains look like, as well as peninsulas and islands.  There are illustrations within the illustrations that give an idea of the expanse and make-up of landforms.  It's catchy with its wording and refined with its examples.

The "For Creative Minds" section in the back of the book further educates with information on Earth Movers, Landform Sorting, Landform Matching, and Map Skills.

Win It!

I want to live on a beautiful beach, but I want to have a magic teleportation device that gets me the heck out of dodge anytime the weather is rough. This girl is NOT all about monsoons or hurricanes.
