And, of course, that is true. But wait, there's more! Puzzles, books, games, toys and gifts are also sold on their site.
One nifty gizmo that Calendars.com carries is the Backyard Safari Adventure Critter Jar. It sure beats what we were using to capture lightning bugs! Not too long ago I was frantically punching holes in a mason jar lid with an icepick while my nieces patiently waited. It didn't work out so well and the fireflies died almost as quick as they entered the jar of death.
The Backyard Safari Adventure Critter Jar is a much better option for capturing insects and critters. Inside the plastic jar is a replicated nature scene of a tree, leaves, and bugs. The lid itself has air holes for bugs to breathe. A plastic cricket sets on top. By pushing the hind end of the cricket, a chirping noise is released and mimics the sound of an actual cricket.
Making this jar even more fun are the flashing, blinking light patterns that appear when a button is pushed. The lights are more easily seen at night. There's a button at the bottom of he jar to turn on the lights or turn them off. Batteries are included.
This particular critter jar is an amusing way to capture bugs and view them without causing them harm. Everyone, from the kids to the adults, have lots of fun capturing fireflies and putting them into the jar for viewing.
Win It!
