Produce for Kids Campaign at County Market

I received compensation for this post.  Please do your own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.
Produce for Kids is a national organization dedicated to educating families on the benefits of healthy eating, providing simple meal solutions and raising money for children’s non-profit organizations.

Produce for Kids partners with the produce industry and local grocery store retailers to host several campaigns each year to raise funds for children's nonprofit organizations while educating families about the benefits of healthy eating with fresh produce. The best part (besides fruits and veggies, of course): ALL funds raised stay local and go to area organizations!

This spring, Produce for Kids is again partnering with County Market stores in your area from June 10-July 12 for a spring campaign to encourage shoppers to add more fruits and veggies to their carts to benefit the Salvation Army Food Pantry. The four produce sponsors are Green Giant Fresh Klondike Rose Potatoes, Marie’s Dressings, Pero Family Farms Mini Sweet Peppers and Wholly Guacamole 100 Calorie Classic Minis.

Also, shoppers can sign up for the Produce for Kids Club at County Market to receive freebies, coupons and more by purchasing two or more sponsor items and entering the code from your receipt.  I'm excited to take part in the Produce for Kids Club and will be purchasing participating products.

The Produce for Kids website has several recipes that include produce.  Here is one for Southwest Chicken Wraps:
Southwest Chicken Wraps

1/2 cup Romaine, chopped
2 (8-inch) whole wheat tortillas
1/4 cup roasted red pepper hummus
1/2 cup bell pepper, seeded, sliced
2 tablespoons sweet onion, chopped
1/2 cup cooked chicken, diced
1/4 cup Wholly Guacamole® Classic dip
1/4 cup salsa

Lay tortillas on flat surface. Spread hummus on tortillas. Layer peppers, onion, salad, chicken, guacamole and salsa on top. Roll into a wrap and cut in half.

Suggested Sides

1 cup cantaloupe, honeydew melon and orange slices
A glass of 1% milk

Do you shop at County Market?  Will you be participating in the Produce for Kids event?  What kinds of produce do you like to eat?
