Random Tuesday Thoughts - Barbies and Breakfast

It's another day of randomness with Random Tuesday Thoughts, hosted by Stacy Uncorked.
-----------------------
This year has went by crazy fast.  It's hard for me to fathom that it's July already.  Anyone else feel the same way?
--------------------
Emma finished off her summer softball season with a third place win.
------------------------------------

Anastasia and Shadow

My oldest daughter recently adopted two kitties.  They are the cutest things ever.  My husband is dead set on having no cats in our house so I sometimes sneak over to Shelby's apartment to visit the grandkitties.
-------------------------------------------
My husband made breakfast in bed for me the other day.  It was the first time ever.  He made bacon, scrambled eggs, and biscuits with gravy.  It wasn't as romantic as it is in the movies.  I had no tray so I kept trying to balance my plate and the seating position was all awkward.  But the gesture was  amazingly sweet.
----------------------------
Becky and myself
my Small Group

I celebrated 4th of July with my Small Group from church.  Most of the evening was spent eating lots of food, playing Cornhole, and swimming in a pool.  Then we went to the city's fireworks display location for the big booms.  It was a great time with good people.
------------------------------
I had my friend, Becky, over the next night for a cookout at my house.  Next time the Barbies will have to be kept put away.  There's just something a little odd about watching a grown woman dress and pose with Barbie.  She says it brought back positive childhood memories.  I say she's just weird.  Different strokes for different folks, I suppose!
----------------------

My son participated in the Hannibal Cannibal 5K run Saturday.  It's a big event with hundreds of participants.  He placed 10th overall and 2nd in his age group.
----------------------------
How did you celebrate the 4th of July?  What's your randomness for the week?

Since I'm still recovering from surgery, our July 4th consisted of grilling and watching TV. That was ok with me, though. Looks like your kids are amazing. Now sneak over and visit your adorable grandkitties again. Who could resist?

We'd love cats around here. There's just 1 problem my son Mica and I have really bad allergies to them. I told my husband that if he builds a studio in the back he can have a studio cat.

My brother in law bbqed and my family ate some great food, good bundt cake and just hung out. We didnt see the fireworks, but we heard them all night. Playing with Barbies as an adult is a bit odd.
Im moving into my new apt at the end of august. My aunt passed away unexpectedly, thats a sad randomness.
