Random Tuesday Thoughts - Weddings and Cats

Mike, Mike, hey Mike, know what day it is?
It's Tuesday, silly.  Not Hump Day.
But that's ok because it's time to play
Random Tuesday Thoughts, hosted by Stacy Uncorked.
After you've read and commented on my post, head on over there and link up your randomness.
This is what happens after five days of being at church camp.  Logan came home and completely crashed.
That was last week.  This week he is volunteering as a one-on-one aide during vacation bible study.
The summer reading program at the library has officially ended.  I logged 11 books for two months.  Logan won one of the raffle drawings of a Movie Night gift basket.  He received DVDs, popcorn, theater snacks, and movie tickets.

Me and my guy
Jason and I went to a friend's wedding and reception Saturday.  It was a semi-formal outdoor wedding with an indoor reception.  The groom is head ref for the roller derby team.

The best part of the evening was when Hot Chocolate (derby name) donned a furry suit and did the Chicken Dance with his mother-in-law.  She is wheelchair bound and unable to dance, so he came up with this bright idea.  She cried and cried, which in turn made everyone else cry.
Anyone else besides me think the KFC commercials with the new Colonel Sanders is way weird?  I totally get that he's not the real deal, and commercials are usually neither here nor there for me.  But there's something about the way the new Colonel talks that brings up bad vibes.  And they ain't finger lickin' good.

Anastasia Simon
My grandkitties came over for a visit again the other day.  Anastasia is more calm and gentle than her sister, Shadow.  I swear, I'm not a crazy cat lady.  But I could seriously spend hours just watching my grandkitties carry on like they do.  It's a whole 'nother level of furry cuteness.
How about yourself?  What's your randomness for the week?
Any commercials that get your goat?
How's your summer treating you?

Grand kitties and a hot chocolate chicken. Hmm. I detect a double standard on this blog of ours.

Friends, readers, followers and fellow bloggers, I have been poked fun at in this public forum for merely picking up and posing with a Barbie doll. Yet I constantly see other grown persons photographed on this blog in wacky situations, but spoken about lovingly and in high esteem. You may have seen Terra's Random Tuesday Thought: Barbies and Breakfast. If not, you should check it out and see the vile things she said about me :-( Later, in her review for My Friend Cayla, her husband Jason is shown intensely focused on his new doll friend. You can view my full response in the comment section of that post.

All I'm asking is for a little respect. Just a little bit. Come on friends. Can I get an amen? Do you support such treatment of a co-blogger and friend? Terra, all I want is your love and acceptance!! Is that too much to ask?! :*-(

I am a cat person so I get it! You read a lot this summer. What book was your favorite?

Yes to the weird KFC commercial! I feel like the new colonel is a weird caricature of a southern dude. I don't like them at all!

How sweet that Hot Chocolate did the chicken dance with his mother-in-law. Very nice, I'll bet he made her day!

Poor Logan looks totally wiped out! Very cool he is volunteering as a on-on-one aid during VBS! :)

LOVE your dress!!

OMG how funny (and cool) that Hot Chocolate donned that chicken suit and did the Chicken Dance with his MIL! I would have cried, too.

The new KFC Colonel is definitely weird!! The hubby and I both agree on that.

Ohhhhh! Anastasia is beautiful! Very cool you get to visit with your grandkitties - I'll be requesting that of Princess Nagger when she grows up and moves out and takes her cat with her. ;)
