What's Your Straight Jacket? - #CKL15

Not your ordinary vacation bible school, Crossing Kids Live is a big themed production for young children.  This year over 500 kids attended the three day event.  To wrap up CKL, our church had its annual Orange Concert on Thursday night.

There were plenty of activities for everyone.  Worship music, sumo wrestling, photo booths, bounce houses, tumbling mats, and more were all around.  It was quite the good ole' time!
Watching the pastors sumo wrestle each other was one of the highlights of my night.  The main event featured Master Illusionist Harris III.  He is one of America's most sought-after performers and event speakers.  He's performed on thousand of stages.  Last night was the first I'd heard of him.  I was very impressed, both with his storytelling and his illusions.
Harris III narrated stories of deception and illusion and, with the help of volunteers from the crowd, was put into a straight jacket.  It took some struggle but he was able to free himself.  With the straight jacket as a visual, he pointed out that each and every one of us wears a straight jacket everyday.  There's something in our lives that causes us to struggle and feel like we can't break free.  We all have 'em and the struggles are real.  But, through Jesus Christ, we don't have to be bound any longer.
Thought to ponder:  What's your straight jacket?

The sumo wrestler reminds me of a big marshmallow. Lol! My straight jacket is losing my independence because I can't drive anymore. I miss just being able to go for a drive. It's hard. Looks like all you guys had lots of fun :)
