Chowing down at our outdoor dinner
Getting together with family for food and company is important to me. We used to host gatherings quite often. We'd also mix it up at times and go to a cousin, sister, or other relative's house to feast and catch up. It had been a while since our last get-together and I felt like I was missing out. So I called to action and got the family together the other day. Jason cooked a big mess of meat on the grill. In the meantime, while we waited for the grub to cook, we chowed down on appetizers.
To tide us over, I set out a HORMEL GATHERINGS™ Honey Ham & Turkey Party Tray. It was filled with HORMEL® Honey Ham, HORMEL® Smoked Turkey, Sargento® Cheddar Cheese, Sargento® Colby Jack Cheese, and Round Crackers. Each food section was individually sealed for freshness. After unwrapping all packages I placed the food on the black try and let guests choose what they wanted from there. There was no slicing or dicing, just arranging on a tray. Everything tasted really good and it was a convenient way to serve delicious pre-meal finger food. I've used HORMEL Party Trays in the past and will definitely be using them again for upcoming gatherings I host or attend.
How often do you get together for cookouts? What kind of finger foods do you like to bring or eat at a gathering?
