Random Tuesday Thoughts - Heat and Veins

As per every Tuesday, it's Random Tuesday Thoughts.  If you'd like to be a part of the cool crowd, link up at Stacy Uncorked.
-------------------------------------
Right before the procedure

Every year for the past five years I've taken Labor Day weekend off to either go camping or to the drag races.  This year was a little different.  It was spent taking care of Jason and my mom as they both recover.  It's all good though.
Relaxing in the recliner with his bandaged leg

Jason's varicose vein procedure was done on Wednesday.  It was a fairly simple procedure, but he has to be bandaged from ankle to groin anytime he's up walking around.  He also has two weeks off from work.  Most people would be uber excited to have that much time off, but he gets bored easily.  In fact, he's going to see if he can get released to back to work sooner.  #CrazyWhiteBoySayWhat!

My mother was released from the hospital on Saturday, after three weeks of being cooped up in there.  She seems to be recovering fairly well so far.  Between her and Jason, the next few weeks are filled with doctor appointments.
--------------------------------
It has been hotter than the seventh level of Hell.  I'm soooo over it.  I don't like to perspire and I don't like to be hot, so I'm over the moon that the weather will be nicer from here on out.
----------------------------

Logan, along with the rest of his Cross Country team, just came back from Memphis, TN.  It's a seven hour drive from where we're at.  They competed against 46 other teams and came in 10th overall.  They rock!  Along the way, they visited the zoo and several other area attractions.  He bought his momma a shot glass as a souvenir.  He knows what I like!
--------------------------------
Move over people; Adam gets his license tomorrow.  Eek, that makes four of our kids who are old enough to be behind the wheel!

I still don't have my Trailblazer back that Logan wrecked a month ago.  Shops have been backlogged with work so I have to wait even longer to get my wheels back.  On the plus side, I just got done paying it completely off.  Here's hoping it runs just as good as it did before the wreck.
----------------------------------
Me and Jason ate at Applebee's the other day for lunch.  We don't go there very often at all.  We're tight asses like that.

Between the two of us, we split the All-Day Brunch Burger and the Triple Hog Dare Ya.  Just a bite from either one was enough to clog your arteries but, boy, they were amazingly good!
------------------------------
Have you tried either of those sandwiches from Applebee's?  What's the weather been like where you live?  What's your randomness for the week?

I hope that they recover well and things go well.

I was at the hospital on Saturday as I took my brother who helps take care of my older parents to the ER. A young man he had a stroke. He seems to be OK but right now he seems to have lost vision in his left eye.

Prayers with Jason and your mom! I'm so the same I'm a bit of a workaholic but I also don't get paid time off so my head is always adding up bills ... LOL

It's starting to cool down here now, after a long stretch of high temps.

I'm glad that everyone is recovering nicely! Good thing they have you to help. :)
"It has been hotter than the seventh level of Hell." UGH! I haaaaaaaaaaaate the heat. I would rather have my nails be turning PURPLE because I'm so cold than to sweat even one drop. Milder weather can't come soon enough!!!!
