Cross Country Committed

crowd gathered around the starting line

He didn't get it from his mama (or his dad for that matter) but my son Logan can run like it's nobody's business.  He's been at it for five years now and keeps going strong.

Cross Country and Track are Logan's strong suits and he's super committed.  If there's not a meet, Logan will make it a point to run almost every single day.  And at least eight miles a day.

I admire his commitment from afar.  The only way I'm running is if I'm being chased.  I'm lucky to have a strong speed walk.

Cross Country season is almost over for this year.  Both the boys' and girls' teams are rockin' it.  Liberty is known for breeding runners and it definitely shows in their rankings.

Of course, every parent is proud when their kid does good.  The shiny medals are incentive.  But, as his mother, I'm most proud of his dedication and commitment.

And those faces he makes has me rollin' every single time!
Did you play any sports while in school?  How about your kids?
When do you run - for fun or only to keep from being hunted down?

That is awesome! Yes, Military Husband and I both run for fun. One of these days we will do a 5k together...when I can quit being so lazy!
