Once in a great while I will make my own pasta sauce. When I'm not up for that, I'll purchase it at the store. And Ragú is a brand I've used on several occasions throughout the years. I don't always go for the same variety each time; it all depends on what I'm in the mood for at the time.
Launched in September 2015, Ragú Spicy Italian Style Sauce is the first spicy addition to the Ragú family of sauces. It's a blend of California-grown tomatoes, red bell peppers and ground red pepper flakes. It gives a spirited kick to any dish. I don't prefer a lot of added heat to my dishes, but my husband lives for it. He prepared some spaghetti and added this new pasta sauce to it. He was definitely impressed with the combination of flavors, and the zip of the spices. It's not that I didn't like the sauce altogether; I just prefer the milder flavors. I did notice that the sauce is not runny, and is robust. Which is what I like in a pasta sauce.
Ragú® Spicy Italian Style Sauce can be found at select grocery stores and mass retailers nationwide, or by visiting the store locator at www.Ragu.com.
