Have A Heck Of A Merry Christmas

I admittedly wasn't much into the Christmas spirit this year.  It seems the season came upon me too fast and I've been busy dealing with other realities of life.  But the last two days have renewed my spirit.  We opened gifts with the kids a couple of days ago and yesterday was spent at my sister's house with family, feasting on food and exchanging gifts.  Then we attended church service.  My ex-husband actually showed up(!!) upon the boys' request.  I don't have a whole lot of good things to say about the ex but I really respect that he attended, even with some hesitation.  Today we will be having supper with my mom at the nursing home, then attending a gathering at a friend's place.  Busy, busy!

I wish the spirit of Christmas was celebrated all throughout the year.  That we could be kind and generous to each other every day.  That we could show love and kindness every minute.  That we could show concern and care all the time.  Jesus may be the reason for the season, but He's also the reason for the rest of the year.

I'd like to wish you, dear readers, a wonderful Christmas today.  That your heart be filled with joy and that your spirit be filled with Christ's love.

Christmas came and went so fast. It was hard to get into the spirit of the holiday this year for me too! I'm kind of glad it's over though, but I did enjoy getting to see all of my family this week.

I'm glad you got to spend time with yours also! A little belated, but Merry Christmas!

I know a lot of people that felt it came too quickly this year. The weather was more spring like than winter. I blame it on that.

I hope it was a great Christmas for you!

I completely understand, this year just hasn't FELT like Christmas. That coupled with the difficulties I have this time of year it is hard to get into the Christmas spirit but it wasn't a bad year. I enjoyed the festivities but am glad it's over until next year ^.^

I hope you and your beautiful family had a safe, enjoyable, and happy Christmas!
