I'm a December baby and my birthday was recently celebrated. Rather than the traditional birthday cake, I set out a variety of cookies, cakes and candies. One was the Panettone di Milano holiday cake from the Bauli company.
Bauli, a traditional Italian brand, is best known for its Pandoro and Panettone holiday cakes, which have become traditional staples during the holiday season. Although I've seen them in stores around this time of year, I've never purchased or tried them until my birthday party.
The cake itself arrived packaged in a neatly shaped box. The ready-to-eat oven baked cake required no preparation other than unwrapping the paper layer from the bottom half. The cake had a golden brown color and was almost perfectly shaped. It looked deliciously inviting.

Yummmm
Panetonne, we love it! Not just at the holidays, but all year long. (Though it's hard to find the rest of the year!) scain54(at)aol(dot)com
