Random Tuesday Thoughts - Over the Holidays

Hello my friends!  It's time for another edition of Random Tuesday Thoughts, hosted by Stacy Uncorked.  If you'd like to play along, just link up at her blog.  She won't bite (at least I don't think she will).

Christmas is over and our tree is down.  We put it away the day of.  I enjoyed the holidays but I'm over it.  We spent the day at home on the 23rd and all the kids unwrapped their gifts.  Then we ordered pizza and stuffed our faces.
Christmas Eve was spent at my sister's house.  There was so much amazing comfort food.  And if that wasn't enough, we ate much of the same thing at a friend's house the following night.

My 11 yoa nephew has a big fondness for A Christmas Story and the band, KISS.  Which just seems like an odd, yet cool, combination to be fascinated with.  Especially for someone his age.

I'm not hard to please and am more like a teenage girl than a middle-aged woman when it comes to the things I like.  I received so many wonderful gifts for Christmas.  Some of them included bed sheets, adult coloring books, Bath & Body Works, Joann Fabrics gift card, Sam's Club gift card, AMC movie gift card, socks, Monster High doll (what, don't judge!) and other goodies.
----------------------
My mom comes home Wednesday.  I'm glad to have her back but am somewhat anxious about any setbacks.  She's been doing so well the past month in the nursing home.
-------------------------------
It's almost the new year!  I think we're going to be hanging out a friend's house.  I won't be making any resolutions.  I suck at keeping them anyways.
-------------------
How was your Christmas?  Get any nice gifts?  What are your plans for the New Year?

We had a very relaxing Christmas at my parents' house with my six siblings/their spouses and all the kids. It was a lot of fun spending time with everyone. My tree is still up....want to take it down, but will have to wait for the weekend. For New Year's, we'll probably go out for a very early dinner and come home to watch movies.

I absolutely love your nephew in his Ralphie rabbit costume! LOL Those unique things are the things that make an individual awesome :)

Sounds like you guys had a lovely holiday! I'm pretty over things myself, too. Now we just have to get through the rest of Winter...

It was a Miyazaki Christmas this year! I got a My Neighbor Totoro tank top, a Totoro sweater (I'm LIVING in that thing), and a Spirited away kimono. Plus $100, an AMC gift card, some chocolate, the complete Jurassic Park collection, and a few other things.

My family had a rough go of things lately so we postponed out Christmas to a different date.
