Logan and Shelby
For over fifteen years the family has taken part in our annual Candy/Cookie Day. It went on hiatus two years ago because some of the people thought it was more of a chore. This year my teen son made it clear he wasn't going to keep breaking tradition and so we set it up to take place.
Jamie making cookies
We had over 35 women, children and men at my sister's house. No one was excluded from sticking their hands in dough, dipping chocolate, or sprinkling cookies. And it was actually a lot of fun.

We talked, ate, laughed, baked, played darts, and ate some more. We made an overabundance of cookies and candy. Once it was all made, we divided the cookies on to trays to hand out to friends, co-workers and neighbors.
The tradition is back. And I'm ready to do it again next year!
