Young Emma Miller (Danielle Chuchran) would appear to be the luckiest girl in Indiana: An Amish beauty with a loving family and a marriage offer from the community’s most eligible young man, Emma’s future seems right on track. Yet she yearns for adventure and romance and when given the opportunity to spend the season helping her widowed cousin’s market business in scenic Charm, Ohio, she jumps at the chance to see what else the world has to offer.
As she settles into life on her cousin’s farm, she befriends local librarian, Kelly Bennett (Tiffany Dupont) and gets to know Noah (Trevor Donovan) – a striking, well-read, young Amish man who helps work the farm. When Emma’s popular homemade goat cheese attracts the attention of a local bed-and-breakfast and a handsome wine-and-cheese blog editor, Andy (Drew Fuller), she finds herself pulled between two worlds and two men. Emma must decide whether to stay amongst the Amish, or leave behind everyone and everything she’s ever known to venture out into the world.
LOVE FINDS YOU IN CHARM is available January 12, 2016 for the suggested retail price of $22.98.
My Review:
Although I'm not sure I could live it, the Amish lifestyle has always fascinated me. Being in the Amish order, you have a set of rules and customs that must be abided. Just like the main character in the movie, I'm sure I'd also wonder what the "English" world was like.
A movie focalized on an Amish woman named Emma, Love Finds You In Charm leaves her facing many decisions regarding her lifestyle and love life. Emma has an innocent demeanor and dreams often of what it would be like to see the ocean and view the world. She dreams of "different".
When given the opportunity to go to Charm, Ohio Emma doesn't hesitate. She befriends a librarian and another man, Noah, who is also Amish. Both of them leave her continuing to ponder how she would like to live her life. Then there's Andy, a famous blog editor who tries to woo her heart.
It's a lot for one girl to take on and Emma takes it in stride, although it's clear she is pulled in several directions with emotions and confusion. Love Finds You In Charm is a clean romance movie that pulls at the heartstrings and leaves you feeling good.
