It's Springtime, Charlie Brown - #PeanutsMovieNight

I received products in exchange for this post courtesy of Fox Home Entertainment.  The opinions within this post are of my own and I was not influenced in any way.  Please do our own research before purchasing products or using services.  Your opinions and results may differ.

The PEANUTS Movie - the critically acclaimed and Golden Globe Award® Nominated Film is available now on Digital HD, Blu-ray™ and DVD.  I had the opportunity to host a Peanuts Movie Night viewing party to watch the film with family.

The PEANUTS Movie Blu-ray/DVD Combo Pack I received was the Limited Edition Gift Set that included a Snoopy Flying Ace plush toy.  The PEANUTS Movie features Charlie Brown as he embarks on a heroic quest, while his beagle pal Snoopy takes to the skies to pursue his archnemesis, the Red Baron.

I invited some of the family over to watch the film with me.  Before getting settled in for the movie, we got in to character with Charlie Brown tshirts and Flying Ace hats.  Each guest received a character toy, a drinking tumbler, a coaster, and a branded baseball.

While watching the film, we snacked on sandwich crackers.  There were a few extra items handed out as prizes during a Character Matching Game.  My sister, Traci, has been a fan of The Peanuts gang for several years now so she was a pro at knowing who's who.  She was also the most excited for the film, and to see that Peanuts characters were popping up on all sorts of merchandise.

The PEANUTS movie is a film for all ages.  It's classic characters with a story told in modernized form.  Charlie Brown is shown trying to win the affection of the little red-haired girl.  And then there's Snoopy who turns into his alter-ego as the Flying Ace.  The rest of the gang is also included.  For those who grew up with the Peanuts, they will be familiar with scenes that feature The Great Pumpkin, Lucy and the football, and Pigpen in his filthy glory.  The modernized theatrics don't take away from the nostalgic feel.  Both the adults and the children who watched this film thought it was charming and interesting.  We even went over a couple of the special features, including the Snoopy Snippets that highlighted Snoopy.  We even learned that Snoopy has siblings and all of their names during one of the extra features.

We had such a good time watching The PEANUTS Movie and discussing it afterwards.  The Peanuts Movie Night was a big hit!

I did see it around the couch eating pumpkin pie with the kiddos and we all loved it! Snoppy as obnoxious as always just love him. It was nice to see they keep it very close to the old school version and didn't make major changes that often change the whole feeling of the movie. Great movie highly recommend. Have a nice week everyone.
