My Life Lately - Yard Sales and Golf

Good evening!  Hope y'all are doing well.  As I'm sure it is with all of you, I've been keeping busy.

I have a yard sale coming up this Saturday.  I didn't think I had that much stuff to sell, considering I've been pretty good about donating to Ladies of Charity on a regular basis.  I was wrong.  I own a lot of crap stuff and figured now is a good of time as any to get rid of it.  I'm also selling a lot of mom's clothes and books, with monies going towards her funeral.
---------------------------
I made the mistake of going to a few yard sales last week.  I came back with a ton of stuff.  I only went to eight sales and brought back enough for an army.  Which kind of defeats the purpose of purging to have my own yard sale.
-----------------------------------------
I bought some outfits for my cat at one of the yard sales.  She was not nearly amused as I was.  Every time I put an outfit on her, she'd fall over like I was participating in the Cow Tipping Championships.  She didn't know what to do with herself.  It was fun while it lasted.
-------------------------------
Tomorrow I'll be joining my oldest daughter and attending a Shinedown/POD concert.  She and I are going to hang out for a full day, then check in to a hotel.  I'm excited for the mother/daughter time.
----------------------
I'd made the quick decision upon my mother's death that I would donate her eyes.  I received the call about three hours after her passing, wanting my consent.

As a back story, mom had cataracts and needed surgery.  It's what started her whole business of health problems.  She never did get the surgery, because of the illnesses that kept plaguing her.  I received a letter today that a woman in Chicago received a sight-restoring transplant because of my mother's eyes.  It is my hope that the woman sees the love of life and Christ through my mother's eyes. #MommaCanFinallySeeAgain
-----------------------------
Mother's Day was hard on me this year, but easier than I expected.  I'd had severe panic attacks leading up to it, but did okay on the day of.  My husband took me out for lunch, and I received a Bed Bath & Beyond gift card.
------------------------

I went golfing yesterday.  For the first time ever!

A friend of mine wanted to celebrate her birthday at the golf course, so I obliged.  We were there eight hours, with four of it being in rain.  #WeAreTroopers

I don't want to do any serious business with anyone, but I thought it was fun and would do it again.  Recreational wise, not professionally.
----------------------------
So peeps, tell me what's been up with you?  Do you play golf?  Ever consider organ donation?  Find any good bargains at yard sales this year?

What a blessing to have someone's sight restored with a gift from your Mother thru your family. The only golf I play is mini-golf. Take care. Have a successful sale.

Yard sales are addictive, aren't they? I try to avoid them. I already have too much stuff.

I am an organ donor but I try not to think about it because it freaks me out a little---haha! I know it's the right thing to do though because it can help so many other people get a new lease on life, just like your mom's eyes have.
Your cat is going to bite your toes off in your sleep if you don't stop putting clothes on her :)

I was crappy at mimiture golf so no real golf for me.
I was a donor until I got cancer. Now I cant.Thats great that your mom donated her eyes.I think that would be somewhat comforting knowing your moms eyes gave back someone else their ability to see.
No I dont shop at garage sales or flea markets anymore.I have enough stuff,no room for someone elses junk.
I have a polyp and will have surgery next month to remove. Is that considered to much info? Lol!

I'd like to do a yard sale. My husband doesn't think the effort is worth it. He's a punk. Ha!
