My Life Lately - Movies and Birthdays

Hope you're having a great summer!  This is what I've been up to lately:

Went with a couple gal pals to the movies and watched Bad Moms.  It's Hi-Freakin-Larious!  Take your mom pals and watch it.  If you don't mind some raunch and the F-Bomb being thrown around, you'll totally laugh and relate.

Curly fries with cheese and Lemonade Shake-up

I went to the fair last Sunday to watch my son in the garden tractor pull.  It was hotter than the seventh level of Hell.  I'm such an air baby.

I did grab some fair grub while I was there.  I didn't go in for the rides or none of that.  Admission to even get in was ungodly, so I stayed for the tractor pull and booked it out of there after that.
---------------------
Daughter of the Stars...breather (anyone know what that means?)

One of my co-workers and good friends painted me a picture by freehand.  I'm not quite so sure what the quote means but I like the thought.  And it is rather pretty.
-----------------------------
Clear the sidewalks, folks!  Juliann is 16 years old today.  Later this afternoon she'll be a licensed driver.  Crazy wicked how time flies and kids grow up so fast.
-------------------------
In just a few short days I'm headed out to spend a night in St. Louis and check out the Rob Zombie/Korn concert.  I'm gonna rock out with my socks out!
--------------------------
Whatcha been up to this summer?  Been to any county fairs?  Going to see Bad Moms?

Wow, you have been busy. I am more laid back. We have been to watch the some kids activities that were in air conditioned buildings. It is really hot in the South right now. When outside, I am mainly working in the garden.

No idea what that quote means either, but the painting is very pretty and colorful! Your friend has talent.

Psalms 33:6
You are a daughter of the star (not stars) breather--the Lord made the heavens, breathed out the stars, and you are His daughter.

Oh my gosh, Bad Moms was hysterical! There was a part of me that wished the kids could see it for the "lesson" but not for a long time!!!! I love a tractor pull - I used to go see those at the fair with my dad when I was a little girl! And the hand painted picture is beautiful - I simply love gifts that are homemade! Lovely!

Saw Bad Mom's Friday and it was so freaking hilarious!!

My son will be 16 soon too but thankfully he waited forever to get his learners so I got a little more time before his driving skills are let loose on society. LOL.

I haven't seen Bad Moms yet, originally I wasn't planning to but I've heard great reviews so I probably will!

Our local fair starts Tuesday so I'm pretty excited to go to that if health permits! I'm not a big ride person but I will be splurging on some fair food!!

I'm super jealous of you being able to go to that concert. That should be a fun one and I have no doubt you'll tell us all about it ;)

Happy 16th Birthday Juliann 🎂🎈
I won ticket to the California State Fair in Sacramento. The blogger told it was july 8th-july 31st.So I called on the 30th to make sure they had scooters to rent. The lady tells me the fair ended on july 31st.I was beyond mad.
I ended going to Discovery United Kingdom in vallejo, Ca.My sister and brother in law buy season passes every year. My brother in law had a bring a friend for free pass so I used that.Since I have mobility issues a guy came out with a wheel chair to take me to the entrance since we were at the drop off spot. Then I waited for them in front. They got to park in handicap lot.I rented a scooter and had so much fun. That was the first family outing Ive been able to go to in over 10 yrs.I cant walk without my walker, and with my numb feet and chronic pain I cant walk around places. Now that fairs have them I plan on going to more fairs and fun parks.Im spending more time with my 2 nieces so thats the best part of my summer. My daughter, son in law,my granddaughter and all his family are in Maui having a blast. Its his parents 30th anniversary so they decided to take their 4 kids, my daughter and chloe my granddaughter for a much deserved vacation. They travel so my daughter married into a good family.
Thats my summer in a nut shell :)

Sounds like you have had a fun summer. We had our small town celebration here called Watermelon Day and were busy with that. Next was the County Fair and Thursday the Iowa State Fair starts. Summer is going way too fast!
