Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. From seeing people dressed in costume to going to haunted houses, I love it all. And now it's even better with the opportunity to "Boo It Forward".
The tradition of "Booing your Neighbor" has been around for several years now and it has really grown in popularity as a fun, safe, family-oriented activity. It's also known as "Ghosting" or "Boo-gramming." It has been a hit with mommy bloggers and their families. They would put together a home decorated bag of treats including a note with instructions on how to "boo" and a poem and deliver it anonymously to their neighbor, friend or relative. The recipient would then have 48 hours to do it to their next door neighbor or friend which creates a chain throughout the neighborhood.
I was given a Halloween bucket with candy and the new Ghostbusters film so I could "Boo It Forward". Because I moved to the subdivision where I live just three months ago, I decided to take the basket to a neighbor that lives just a few doors down. I don't know the outcome was or what they thought of it, but the idea made me giddy inside. I thought it was kinda fun and think it's something the neighbors will enjoy. I mean, you can't go wrong with candy and a newly released film!
Ghostbusters was recently released on Blu-ray/DVD on October 11th. I haven't watched it yet but plan to before the Halloween season is over.
Have you seen the new Ghostbusters film?
Have you ever been Boo'd?
