It's National Farmer's Day

If it weren't for farmers, we wouldn't have food on the table.  So take time today to thank a farmer.

I've lived in the Midwest my entire life and am surrounded by fields and farms.  During harvest seasons, a lot of farmers are spending day in and day out cultivating and cropping.  It's a lot of work.

My sister, Sandy, is married to a farmer.  Dean is usually gone from sun up to sundown to work the fields.  She doesn't get a lot of alone time, or much quality time, with her man.  But such is the life of a farmer's wife.

Whenever I think of farmers I think of hard workers. That's what comes to my mind.

When I see my brother in law's family working their fields in the miserable, unforgiving Georgia heat it amazes me how dedicated and hardworking they are.

God Bless the farmers! They truly are hard workers. I have a hard enough time gardening, I can't imagine how much work a farmer has to put in each day!
